Yeah.. He is my boy-friend. It doesn’t mean he is my lover, but he is a boy and he is my friend. We’ve been together for years since we’re still in kindergarten. And these days, we’re living together because we move to Tokyo to pursue our studies.

Recently, there is something bother me about Taisuke. When I am with him, my heart starts to beating fast as if I was riding a roller coaster. I know this kind of feeling, but I won’t admit it. Taisuke is my childhood friend. There is no way we can be lovers. I don’t want to ruin our friendship..

“ Hiro?”

“ Hum?”

“ What are you thinking about? You look so flustered,” said Taisuke.

“ Uun. Nani mo nai.”

“ Honto ni? I know you’re lying.You can’t lie to me, Hiro. I know you for years, so I know when you’re lying to me.”

“ Trust me.. I’m okay.”

“ But you do not look okay. Hey, I’m your friend, right? You can tell me everything. That what’s friends are for. You always said that,” said Taisuke as he look deep into my eyes.

I try to avoid his eyes. Those eyes.. Seem have some power to read my mind. That’s why I can’t really look at his eyes. I keep silent. Don’t give him an answer because I’m afraid to loose him..

“ Hiro.. I really hate you when you’re act like this.”

Should I tell him the truth? I know I can’t hide this feeling forever. Sooner or later, he will know this feeling..

“ Ehm.. I think.. I’m in love..” I said it with uncertainty.

“ WOW!! Really?!!” Taisuke looks very enthusiastic as he grab my shoulder.

“ Who is that girl?” Taisuke asked with his puppy eyes and smiling widely.

“ Ehm.. Not a girl. I guess.. Not her, but him..”

“ Eh?” Taisuke looks a little bit shock, but then he smiles.

“ I don’t really care if you really like boys. You’re still my friend.. So.. Who’s that lucky boy?” he said calmly.

I make up my mind and gather my courage. I take deep breath and I say it..

“ You. It’s you, Taisuke.”

Taisuke doesn’t say anything. He looks like he was thinking hard about my confession. But, the next second, I realize he already hug me..

“ I’ve been waiting for you to said this! Why didn’t you say it earlier? You know, I’ve been fall in love with you since high school. But, I don’t wanna ruin our friendship. I’ve been waiting for you like crazy..” he said while he hug me. I feel his voice are shaking and his tears starts falling down in my shirt. I hug him back..

“ I’m sorry I didn’t realize it earlier..”

“ I love you, Hiro..”

“ Un. I love you, Taisuke..”

I guess.. From now on, he is my boyfriend, not my boy-friend anymore..
