Description
Kan Mi Youn and Lee Joon, university freshmen, have only been dating for three months. Three. agonizing. months. She calls three times every day, even though they're in the same classes. Joon can't get away from her for longer than five minutes before she panics and demands to know where he is. His friends, especially the girls, have begun to avoid him. His family either looks at him with pity or disgust, wondering why he would date such a clingy girl. She's too much for him to handle, so Joon dumps her, which turns out to be the biggest mistake of his life. Kan Mi Youn never lets go of a boy once she's set her sights on him...

"Lee Joon, where are you? You know you told me you'd pick me up at thre-"

"Mi Youn... we talked about this already.."
"Joon! We did! You told me you'd pick me up at three. I know you didn't forget about today?"
She heard a heavy sigh on the other end of the call. "Mi Youn. I told you already. I can't handle you anymore. I'm breaking up with you. I know you didn't forget that."
She laughed nervously, the sound breathy and uncomfortable. "What do you mean? You were just joking about breaking up, right? Come on, Joonie-"
"Miyoun! Listen to me. I broke up with you already, and I meant every word. Trying to handle you is too much for me! Every day with you is painfully agonizing because you're slowly driving me insane! I tried to make you ditch me, but you couldn't let go. So now, I'm leaving you. Goodbye, Kan Mi Youn."

Mi Youn crinkled her eyebrows in confusion at his words, taking the phone away from her ear and looking at the screen. Joon's picture flashed on the screen with a time beneath it "00:59". It had taken less than a minute for him to take her heart and smash it to pieces. Her chest palpitated, her heart beating hard as she tried to process what he'd said to her. "Break up?" A smile formed on her lips, a cruel, manic smile. "Of course we wouldn't do that, Joon." She pressed her lips to Joon's picture on the screen of her phone.
