SM Entertainment reveals name of new girl group
After the sucess of in-demand-boy-group, EXO, it seems like SM Entertainment is once again searching the universe for a new (And weird) group name. The announcement of a new group did spark interest among netizens worldwide, and the group name would - and should - create a buzz.
The recently held press conference among SM artists revealed the amazingly unique name through Seo Nyuh Shi Dae member, Choi Sooyoung. The latter said, "Our new girl's group name is Canis. *laughs* I know, I know. It's weird! But it was [EXO's] Suho who thought of it. The group is named from VY Canis Majoris, the brightest-and biggest star known to human."
Netizens commented, "Canis! F(x)! Science! Math! I feel like I'm going back to my school days," and "Now I'll feel as if I'm in sixth grade once again."
