Have A Cup Of Coffee

Description

“Now do you wanna dance?” he asked. She laughed, “but we don’t have any music, Jay” she reminded him.

“Doesn’t mean we can’t pretend, right?”

Foreword

“Where are you taking me Jay?” Donna asked as she struggled with her blindfolded eyes while seated in the passenger seat of Jay’s car.

“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you now, Love.” Jay told her and held on her hand to relax her.

Donna hated not being in the know. She likes to always be the one playing the prank on people rather than the one being pranked on. Sensing that Jay wouldn’t tell her anytime soon where they were going, she gave up being restless on her seat and just crossed her arms. She sighed in defeat.

Jay just laughed silently at her bratty attitude. “Just relax and work with me here, babe. I just really want to make this day special.” He told her simply. Donna forced a smile even if she hated being tied up like this. She had to trust him. She told herself that as long as she’s with him, she’ll always be safe. He promised her that and she held on to that thought as she sat on his car behaving properly and just humming along to the song he blasted through his stereo.

After what seemed like forever they finally arrived at their destination. Jay got out of the car and went to her side of the car to assist her out of the car while still keeping the blindfold on her eyes. “Don’t worry I’ll take that off in just a minute.” Jay assured her.

“Jay why is it a bit cold here?! Are we in a cave?” She asked. Jay looked at her smiling widely. “Do I have a deathwish?! Just keep still and follow my orders okay?!”

“Jay Park” Donna said flatly. Jay knows that she’s becoming more and more impatient so he had no other choice but to carry her to the spot he chose. “Aaah, what the hell Jay?!” she shrieked as he scooped her up on his arms and carried her.

“It’s the easiest way to bring you here, woman. Now stop moving too much I’m gonna take your blindfold off already.” Jay unknotted the blindfold off of Donna’s eyes. She had to adjust to the light that her eyes were suddenly receiving but when she was fully adjusted, she realized she’s in the perfect spot, in the perfect moment, with the perfect boy. Everything was perfect.

They were on top of a hill with a view of the sunset that’s starting to go down, coloring the skies with orange, yellow and red. She looked back at him and she saw that he was seated at a mat with a picnic basket beside him and he was… ‘Pouring coffee?’ she thought to herself as she saw Jay pouring coffee on a mug then placing it on the mat. Donna walked towards Jay and just stood there hoping that she was mistaking everything and that he was really pouring wine, not coffee.

“Come sit beside me. Let’s enjoy the view together.” He extended his hand to her and she accepted it. She sat cross-legged just like him and he hugged her from behind and let her head rest on his chest. They stayed like that for a few minutes and Donna forgot all about the coffee until he reminded her of it when he offered the mug to her. “Coffee?” Jay said, grinning as he carefully watched Donna’s face turn from calm to confused.

“Really Jay?! Really? Coffee?” she asked sarcastically as she accepted the mug anyway. “Do you remember the first time I met you in the coffee shop?” Jay started. Donna’s eyes was fixed watching the view in front of her but her ears and heart is listening to the boy who’s embracing her right now. Jay continued, “You ordered a Café Latte and I couldn’t think of any other way to get to know you so I just told the barista that I’m paying for your drink.” She looked up at him and wondered how happy she is with him.

“So instead of getting you drunk tonight, I gave you coffee so we can reminisce those days.” Jay told her, kissing her forehead.

“That’s so sweet babe. But what’s all this for?” she wondered. Not that she doesn’t appreciate it, she just wondered why. “Nothing, I just wanted to make you feel special for no reason at all. I don’t want to celebrate what we have just on our anniversaries. I want to make you feel special everyday... or atleast on some random day. Because that’s what you are Donna, you’re special to me.” Jay told her, kissing her on the lips this time.

Donna’s hurt fluttered as she listened to every word that came out of his mouth. She felt that he was the prince that would complete her fairy tale. Oh, wait he did already. From the day that she became his, her fairy tale was already perfect.

Jay suddenly stood up and extended his hand to her while she wondered what’s up with him again, “Now do you wanna dance?” he asked. She laughed, “but we don’t have any music, Jay” she reminded him.

“Doesn’t mean we can’t pretend, right?” Jay put his hands on her waist as she embraced him lovingly and they swayed together as the sunset turned into moonlight.

Perfect spot in the perfect moment with the perfect boy.She thought.
