Foreword
Prologue
Jongdae’s dreams have recently been filled with light.
The dark-haired man stands now in a river with his feet ankle-deep in the cold water. All around him the mountains roar up like proud guards. It is strangely silent but Jongdae barely notices.
He knows that it is just a dream. Because he lives in a dying world where such natural beauty are ceasing to exist. But the light is so convincing. It wraps around him, touching everywhere yet not at all, and it is so real in this space that he thinks he can almost touch it.
He can pretend for a while...
Tilting his head back, he lets out a breath and holds his arms out as if to embrace it all – everything this moment and place had to offer him.
With a tantalizing breeze across his cheek, Jongdae gazes out into the atmosphere and thinks of this – clear gentle light dancing on rippling waters and laughter dappling the sweep of sky far beyond his reach.
When I ride the wind and land on your world, a white breeze will surround you
You ask where I come from, I smile and reply that it’s a secret
As long as it’s you and me, continuing on together
Heaven is any time and anywhere...
