Follow me
Description
“When I first met you, I felt a kind of contradiction in you. You’re seeking something, but at the same time, you are running away for all you’re worth.
- Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore
In the midst of a rainy evening, a man with nothing to lose, found himself a step from a suicide. But instead of killing himself, he was rescued by the man, who said a simple: follow me.
Yet this simple: follow me, turned out to be one of the longest journey in his life. He followed the stranger into a battle with the past and with something he would never thought exist.

Foreword
With a small huff, Ryeowook lifted himself up a little. He was about to jump, but something pulled him backwards and he fell on the solid ground instead in the river.
“What the-?” Ryeowook said and moved his head up. His eyes widened immediately when he saw a man around his age looking at him from above.
“Don’t be stupid.” The man said and Ryeowook was taken aback by those words. The voice was calm, like what Ryeowook tried to do was nothing new to him.
“What?” Ryeowook asked confused. It wasn’t the man’s concern to stop Ryeowook from jumping. No one cared, ever this man, Ryeowook saw this in his eyes, yet he stopped him. Why?
“What?” Ryeowook repeated himself, but the man didn’t even say a world. They stood like that, looking at each other’s eyes. Ryeowook realized that the night got even darker, but he didn’t care, as long as those eyes looked at him. He felt his past rushing towards him suddenly. As if this man woke them up. Ryeowook suddenly felt scared, helpless, lost, sad, miserable, suffocated and weak. His eyes started to glisten from the tears that appeared. Ryeowook could feel the wind get stronger, as it smacked his face and body cruelly. He could hear the sound of the river. The river in which he wanted to fall and end his life. But as soon as those eyes met his, the feeling- desire to die- vanished, bringing the strange ease and calmness into his mind and body.
“Follow me.” The man said, but Ryeowook’s eyes widened at those sudden words. He didn’t move from the ground. “Follow me.” the man repeated with a stern voice and turned around. He started to walk slowly, giving time for Ryeowook to think. Ryeowook looked at the stranger’s back, feeling that the comfort that he suddenly felt in the man’s presence disappeared, and he quickly stood up. He caught up with the man and they started walking.
