NEW FRIENDS

~~“Sky…Dark clouds , I remembered some bad memories when I see it . Hmmm I hope there will be nothing bad today” .

 

My name is Tamamori Miku . I am 17 years old . I have a father but last month , he told me that he will work overseas . I don’t really remember where but I think he worked at America . Do you think I have a mother? Of course I have but she left us when I am 5 years old . I don’t really care about it . I live alone now in a small apartment but my father send me some money for my school . I have to work for food , basic needs and more . I'm getting used to this hard life .

 

Last week , I had a scholarship exam . I passed the exam so tomorrow will be my first day at a school known as an elite and high class school , Horikoshi High School . I hope I could handle the school . I’m a bit scared because I’m just a normal girl while all the students at the school are very rich .

 

Today would be my first day at Horikoshi High School . Sky…Dark cloud , I remembered some bad memories when I saw it . Hmmm I hoped there would be nothing bad today . I tied my curly hair just like Ichigo(a character in anime K-ON) . I also wore a thick eyeglasses so boys will not go near me if I look ugly . I had some porridge for my breakfast . My apartment is a bit far from the school so I went there by bus .

 

I sat at the back of the bus . I reached my pocket to take my purple handkerchief but instead , I got a paper . I remembered this paper . This was a letter that my father gave me last week . It said “How are you Miku? Living alone must be hard for you . I want you to be with me here but you just passed the scholarship exam right? I’m sorry for leaving you alone . I’m worried about you so I told my bestfriend , Nakajima-san about your condition . He say you can stay at his house next week . I hope you understand how worried I am . I will miss you my little princess”.

 

How can I live with someone that I don’t know . I don’t know what kind of family they are . But I don’t want to make my father worried so I decided to stay at their house . I will go there today after school .

 

I hoped I would have many good friends today . I got out from the bus and this is it , the elite school , Horikoshi High School . I went to the teacher’s room to find a teacher that I wanted to meet .

 

A big hand patted my shoulder and he said , “You must be Tamamori Miku who passed the scholarship exam right?”.

I said , “Hai , I am Tamamori Miku , Yorosohiku Onegaishimasu”.

*Hai – Yes , Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu – Please take care of me

 

He said , “I am your homeroom teacher . Your class is class 2-A . Follow me”.

 

I followed him to my new class . He entered the class . I just stood outside the class .

 

The homeroom teacher said , “Be quiet please . Today we will have a new friends . Please come in Tamamori-san”.

I entered the class and introduced myself . “Hajimemaa , I am Tamamori Miku . Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu”.

*Hajimemaa – Nice to meet you

 

The teacher said , “Tamamori-san , please sit on that empty seat at the back beside Yamada-san”.

 

I  sat there and a person beside me said , “Yo , I am Yamada Ryosuke . You can call me Ryosuke .

I replied , “H..hai , I am Tamamori Miku . Yoroshiku” .

 

He smiled at me . He was so handsome but I can’t like him just because he’s hadsome . I heard some girls whispered , “She is very lucky to seat beside our Yamada”.

Wow , this boy must be very popular . I can’t like anyone in this school . It would make me forgot about the reason I studied hard for the scholarship exam .

 

KRINGGGG!!!! It’s time for our lunch break . I saw some girls brought their own bento . Their bento look elegant . There was a school cafeteria . The food there were very expensive . Try to imagine , a price for a Pocky is 500 yen . Wow , it was so expensive right?

I brought my own bento . It was simple , rice , egg rolls and some carrots . I searched for a quiet place to eat my bento. KRINGGG!!! Ohhh I thought this school’s lunch break was just 5 minutes . Now I couldn’t eat my bento. I thought I will eat them after school .

 

We continued our lesson . It was Mathematics , my favourite subject . When the teacher asked some questions , it would be four pupils who raised their hands . Yamada-san , Chinen-san , Okamoto-san and Nakajima-san . Ehhhhh , Nakajima-san? Could it be , he is one of my father’bestfriend family . Impossible wasn’t it ? There were many people with the last name as Nakajima around Japan . I hope he’s not the person I thoughts .

 

The last lesson will be English but the teacher not here so we can do our own work . I grab my favorite book from my bag . The title is “My Little Princess” . The person who wrote the book was my father so when I read the book it will make me feel that my father was sitting beside me.

“Hi there , I am Yuki . You are Miku right?”, a girl said that to me .

I replied , “Hai , I’m Miku . Yoroshiku”,

She said , “You must be very pretty if you take off that thick eye glasses . Can I see it?”.

 

She took  my eye glasses.

She said , “Wow , you are so pretty . Why did you wear this thick aye glasses? . You don’t seem  like you have eye problem .

 

I took my eye glasses back and said , “I can’t say the reason”.

She said , “ Oh, It’s okay .  I don’t want to force you to say it”.

 

“Hi Miku , I am Chinen Yuri , this is Yamada Ryosuke , Nakajima Yuto and Okamoto Keito”, said a boy to me.

I replied , “Yoroshiku , I am Tamamori Miku.

Yuki said , “You are so loud Yuri-kun”.

Keito said , “It’s okay , we are very popular , right Yuri?”

Yuri said , “Hahahahaha, that’s right”,

Yuto added , “You two are baka , can you two just shut your mouth”.

Ryosuke just laughed .

*Baka - Stupid

I could tell just by looking at them . Yuki-san is a boyish girl but kind . Chinen-san and Okamoto-san are a cheerful boy . Nakajima-san is a quiet boy while Yamada-san is a kind boy .

Yuki said , “Oi Miku , Lets go to a cafe after school”.

I replied , “Gomenne , I can’t today . I am busy”.

She said , “Hmmm maybe next time okay”,

*Gomenne – Sorry

 

KRINGGGG!!! Time to go home but I am very hungry so I searched a place to eat my bento . I stopped when five girls stood in front of me .

One of them said , “You are the scholarship student right? You are so lucky to got class 2-A full of good-looking boys”.

 

She pushed me and I fall . I got up and go away.

 

“Hey you , you can’t just leave like that” , said her . She hold my hand.

I said , “Let go of  me” .

 

I pulled my hand and ran as fast as I can . They chased me . BRUKK!! I hit a boy and my bento hit his shirt . His shirt was dirty with my bento .

 

I apologized to him .

 

He said , “It’s okay . You must be the new student right?”.

I replied , “Yes I am”.

 

The girls who chased me stopped when they see me with the boy . They ran away without saying anything like ‘sorry’ or what . The boy smiled and pull my hand and go to the rooftop.

 

He took off his dirty cloth and wash it . WOW , He has a good body . What am I thinking . I can’t like him . NEVER . I turn around and go sitting on  a bench there . The boy grab a T-shirt from his bag and wear it . He dries his wet shirt in the sun and sit beside me .

 

He said , “I am Arioka Daiki , I am from class 2-B , Yoroshiku”,

I replied , “I am Tamamori Miku”.

He said , “Have you heard about a boyband called Hey!Say!JUMP?

I said , “No . Why do you ask?”.

“You never heard about it? I am one of them . They are very popular you know”, said him .

I said , “I am just a commoner . I don’t have any television or radio in my house”.

He said , “Oh , we have ten members . You know Yamada , Nakajima , Okamoto and Chinen from your class? They are Hey!Say!JUMP members too . My friend , Morimoto Ryutaro one of them too and four more members are our senpai , Takaki Yuya , Yabu Kota , Yaotome Hikaru and Inoo Kei .

*Senpai – Senior

I said , “Wow , so many members”

 

That’s why so many girls hate me because I’m close to Yamada-san and the others . It makes me a bit scared.

 

Daiki said , “Look at the sky , Miku . It will make you feel relax you know”.

I looked at the sky and said , “You’re right . It make us feel relax “.

 

I smiled at him  and he said , “You look so cute when you smiled”.

FIRST TIME , FIRST TIME someone told me that word , C.U.T.E . I am so happy . WAIT! What I’m talking about . I can’t like him . I’m just his friend , nothing more .

 

I said , “I’m sorry , I have to go now . Bye-Bye”. He just smiled to me .

 

I went home and packed my cloth . I will move to my father’s bestfriend house today .
