Everyone is born with a red string tied around his/her pinky. It may not be visible, but the end of the string is tied to your soulmate. It's very hard to meet your soulmate because the string is very tangled up, so it takes a while to untangle. These two people in their 8th grade year are very close to untangling the string to find out that they're meant to be with each other.
