In the face of depression, 19-year old Seo Hye Sun left the city in search of a quiet village to live in when she couldn't take the pressure that her parents and her fellow relatives were putting on her. From her sweet demeanor, she became a cold-hearted girl that preferred to be alone.

At one of the villages she had stopped by at, she met a charming young man, 21-year old Lee Dong Hae. Despite having the cutest personality a male could have, his words were spoken like a wise old man. Her perspectives about life started to change positively and she decided to continue living at this village after realising she had fallen head over heels for Dong Hae. 

However, a war was declared on South Korea and Dong Hae, being a healthy young man, was sent to fight for the country. Before he left, Hye Sun didn't manage to confess her love for him, which made her very worried that he'd not come back to hear her confession. 

Years passed and there wasn't any news of Dong Hae. Instead of moping about her love, she decided to make something out of herself. Using the money she had brought from her previous home, she managed to open a small bakery which over time, gained many customers and became one of the most well-loved bakeries in that village. Sometimes, people from other villages would come to her bakery to buy her delicious bread. 

It wasn't until one fine day... when she met Lee Dong Hae again.
