I'm getting lazy now. So sorry for the lack of updates, I thought I'd be inspired for this fanfic but nope :( So without further ado I give you this month's chapter. (I hope I'm joking, but knowing me you'll never know)
Chapter 7
Stephanie's mom, Miseok, turned and grabbed her arms, "listen here. You will understand that there were important reasons as to why this was refrained from you. You will understand that it was in your best interest that you were kept in the dark during your stay at the hospital. And you will most certainly understand that I thought that it was the right thing to do. But now, after only half a day of being at home you're already showing signs of distress so I have no choice but to tell you everything. Do you remember the first day you arrived at the hospital? Do you remember how I was told to take you to familiar places once you were discharged? What you didn't know is that after Niel, or Jiyong as you called him, left in anger and you had left the room with another nurse... Kangin told me one key thing that I wasn't supposed to share with you unless necessary..."
Kangin pulled Miseok to the side. He leaned down to her ear and said, "I understand that you want your daughter back but there's one very important thing that I need you to do. I need you to keep things from Stephanie. I want you to lie. I want you to protect her with your life, because by lying to her you are protecting her. I suppose you know this already, but her kidnapper was one of the infamous criminals to roam this nation. You may not think it, but that's how people like her think. They lure you in making you think that you're their friends when they have an inner motive to try and create harm for everyone. I was contacted by the police and they told me her case history.
Apparently Ahn Chaehee was taken to a therapist by her parents regularly before Niel's birth which was when she was around seven. She had... problems adapting to the new lifestyle with her new brother. Often showing signs of depression at such a young age. Due to the worry that her parents had for her, they started to take her to the therapist. But it apparently didn't do much. The family thought all was okay because Chaehee was still the same.
