Flashing screens, keyboard tappings, and other game consoles are Kyuhyun's companion
in his daily, normal, teen life. His dimly lit room, the light emerging from the screen
of his computer, is where he feels he's more comfortable. 

"This noobs can't even get to my territory, what a waste!"

He exclaimed to himself, and the screen flashed "YOU WIN".

Suddenly their home's doorbell rang. He motion for their door and opened it revealing 
his best friend, Ryeowook.

"Kyuhyun-ah"

Ryeowook greeted him with a small smile.

"Wookie! What's up?"he greeted him and motion him inside their house.

"Can we talk?

"Sure. What about it?"

Kyuhyun answered with suspicion. Whenever Ryeowook talks like that, there's something 
serious going on. Ryeowook sat on the couch while Kyuhyun on the opposite of it.

"So what are we going to talk about Wook?" Kyuhyun cut the growing silence between them

"Will you go out on a date with me tonight Kyu?" 

Kyuhyun's jaw dropped and his eyes popped out. That was the least thing he expected from
Ryeowook, his very own bestfriend. Actually, he never thought of Ryeowook saying that.
He blinked repeatedly, hoping to bat away the seeming illusion of speech.

"Say what?"

"Will you go out on a date with me tonight?"

A quiet one minute passed before Kyuhyun finally spoke.

"Wook.. you know I'm not into guys."

"Please."

"God, Wookie! Don't beg!"

"Please, Kyu. Even just for an hour."-Ryeowook desperately said.

"N-No. Sorry, I guess you can leave now."

Kyuhyun left Ryeowook with a sigh and started walking to his room. Ryeowook looked down and 
clenched his fists. He took in a deep breath and caught up with Kyuhyun.

"Kyuhyun!"-he grabbed the taller boy's hands. "I've liked you for so long now, Kyuhyun.
I tried keeping it to myself because I value our friendship more than anything else
but the circumstance forced me to go up to you and ask you out. So please, say yes."

Ryeowook went on confessing.

"Y-You like me for so long now?"

"Yes.. I'm sorry. I can't help it. Just go out with me."

"Well.. I like you too. But not the way you do to me. I like you as my brother, Wook."

"I'm not saying that after this we should be boyfriends. All I'm asking is a date."

Kyuhyun's eyebrows are knotted now and his mind is arguing.

'I can't do that! If I was seen dating a guy, let alone my very own bestfriend, my 
reputation would be ruined! I'm not gay! I'm sorry Wookie, I just can't'

"Kyu?"-Ryeowook shook him.

"Ah..."-Kyuhyun shove Ryeowook's hand. "I have a..."

'Oh God, save me!'-Kyuhyun mentally prayed to himself. And...

Ring! Ring! Ring!

Kyuhyun look for his phone and saw the caller ID, Sungmin.

"H-Hello?"

"Kyuhyun!" Sungmin yelled through Kyu's phone.

'Oh thank God!'

"Sungmin! We have a test tomorrow! You said you're going to teach me history now! I'll 
come over there so we can start already. Okay? Bye, see you later!" Kyuhyun said quickly 
giving Sungmin no time to reply.

"Ah see Wook, Sungmin and I needed to study for test tomorrow. We decided to review 
together, so uh, I'm going now. Bye!"

Kyuhyun leave Ryeowook as fast as he could.

"K-Kyu!"- Ryeowook tried chasing him but to no avail.

"What are you talking about, Kyuhyun?!" Sungmin yelled at Kyuhyun. "What test are you 
babbling earlier?!" Sungmin asked Kyuhyun as soon as he came. " and we aren't even classmates!!"

"Your call just saved me, hyung."

"What are you saying?"

"*sigh* Ryeowook's asking me out."

Sungmin raised an eyebrow. "Oh! Just as I thought. Ryeowook is 'that' type of guy."

"You knew?!"

"Yeah! Duh! I always catch him staring at you lovingly."

Kyuhyun sulked and hated himself. Sungmin noticed but he, himself, didn't. He then realized
Ryeowook really likes him.

Jungsu kept pacing back and forth in their house's hallway for minutes now; pouting and
stomping. He went outside and meet Kyuhyun.

'Oh I hope Kyu said yes.'

Jungsu knew about Ryeowook's feelings for his bestfriend and felt pity for the in-love
guy. He immediately went to look for Kyuhyun.

Kyuhyun some time at Sungmin's house. They played starcraft and ps3, ate Sungmin's dinner
and finally decided to go home. He walked home, still puzzled on Ryeowook's frantic act
to ask him out.

After a few moments of walking and thinking, he reached his home only to find Jungsu outside
their house. Jungsu noticed him and looked at his watch.

"Why are you here, Kyuhyun?"

"...Why not? This is where I LIVE!"

"No! What I meant is that... you turned down Ryeowook, didn't you?"

"You knew about that?"

Jungsu screamed at him. "You should've said yes!"

"I don't like guys."

"You should've... it's his last chance!"-Jungsu said with teary eyes.

"..W-what do you mean last chance?"

"You idiot! Stupid! Pabo, dense bestfriend you are! Ryeowook's illness gone acute! Doctor's
diagnosed him and says he won't last even in 2 days!"

"That's not a good joke! Ryeowook's in here earlier this day!"

"I'm not joking!"- Jungsu started to cry. "Ryeowook got his heart attack the other day,
he didn't mention this to you for he doesn't want you to worry about him. He tells me
about his secret love to you! His parents, and even the doctors help him to have strength
for a short date with you today! His only wish was to spend his remaining time with you!
But you turned him down..."

...That was a big hit on Kyuhyun's head.

"He didn't.. H-he, didn't even tell me! W-why didn't you tell me? Where is he?"

"M-maybe he's in the hospital now, with his parents."

Kyuhyun looked at his watch and saw that he can still visit Ryeowook.

"N-no!.. Come on, Jungsu-hyung!"

"Where?"

"To wookie of course!"

Sounds of machine, beeping his life out gave comfort in his broken, sick but still in love
heart. He's becoming weaker and weaker and he knows he won't last long. If only Kyuhyun
agreed. Maybe his heart will have the will to fight death.

Nurses come inside his room, he blinked his eyes and smiled on his stupid thoughts.

'Maybe this is it.. It hurts a lot. It hurts that Kyuhyun will have an ugly memory of me.'

He then opened his despaired, pained eyes to face the truth, he only wished to be happy on 
his last day, but he didn't. And he regretted agreeing with Jungsu's idea. He wished
he just did what he did before: watch Kyuhyun from a distance. Now, he was turned down.
His wish wasn't granted. And he left a bad memory on Kyuhyun.

As tears falls down in his cheeks he felt that his chest burned with pain. The machine's
beep frantically. Doctors and nurses went immediately in his room, trying to stabalized his
heart beat, but to no avail.

"Ryeowook!" 

'Kyu?' Ryeowook opened his already weak eyes and saw Kyuhyun reaching to him. He smiled his last smile, 
and reached out too. The moment his hand reaches Kyuhyun's hand, Ryeowook's hand had became
limp in Kyuhyun's hold, prolong beep reaches Kyuhyun's ear as he take a glance a to the
machine and a long, horizontal, straight line indicated that Ryeowook left him.

'NOOOOOO'

Kyuhyun hug Ryeowook's now cold body.

"Wook? Wake up.. We still have a date, right?"-Kyuhyun sniffed and tried to fight back the
tears but it flowed freely from his regretful eyes. "I-I was so late, s-sorry. It's just 
past ten, we still have until midnight... Wook?"

Kyuhyun sobbed loud.

"Wook! Wake up, please! Move!"

Kyuhyun looked at his bestfriend's face: the lips curve into a tiny smile but the eyes were
missing something. 

Life and happiness.

Happiness that he deprived Ryeowook. Happiness he denied for his pride.

"Ryeowook, just wake up! We would date every night. Everyday...."

...But Ryeowook is, forever, long gone.

"Ryeowook!"
