ReaderXSHINee(Taemin)

Description

You sat in the tour van, listening to your favourite song of the moment, “Low”, by Flo Rida. You felt someone nudge you in the arm and blushed, realizing that you’d been singing out loud. You were with your best friend, Lee Taemin, as he went for his first acting class. He looked so cute and nervous as he bit his lip and asked if he looked alright. You nodded, fixing his hair so that it hung just right. Some thought that his long, tawny hair made him look like a girl, but you found its smooth beauty only added to his attractiveness. Not that you’d ever tell him that. Not that it mattered how you felt about him anyways; you knew he would never have feelings for such a plain girl like you. Still, you were happy for him because he was finally getting a chance to follow his other dream of acting, rather than just being the lead dancing of SHINee. Of course, he loved that, too, but also wanted a chance to try new things.

The van pulled to a stop in front of the studio and the pair of you jumped out, looking around. Suddenly, Taemin groaned. “What’s wrong?” you asked him, worried. He grabbed your hand and leaned in next to your ear.

Look who’s here,” he whispered. Turning around, you saw exactly who he was talking about. You saw Park Shin Hye with her team walking into the studio.

But why would she be here?” you wondered aloud. “She’s already an actress.” Almost like she heard you, Park Shin Hye turned and looked at you as you made your way to the entrance. At first, spotting Taemin, she smiled, but then, as she saw you, her face turned into a scowl and she went inside without saying a word. Shrugging, you went in with Taemin and found your seats. Park Shin Hye was sitting on the other side of the room, watching you intently.

Alright class,” said the teacher. “I hope you will enjoy this acting course. I have a lot planned for this semester, so be ready.” You nodded.

“Yes, seonsangnim.”
“Now, for the first activity, please find a partner,” she said then. Before you had a chance to open your mouth, somehow Park Shin Hye had made her way across the room, grabbing Taemin. You wanted to help, but you were too late. You knew that girl really had a crush on your best friend, but he didn’t return the feeling. In fact, it was a little odd that she was even there in the first place, and you highly suspected she’d somehow found out that Taemin was taking the class. That must have been why she was so disappointed to see you there with him as well. Sighing, you turned to the girl next to you and partnered up.

After the class was over, the students gathered in the hallway, discussing how the first class had gone. Somehow, Park Shin Hye had managed to corner Taemin and the poor boy looked as tortured as if he was being forced to eat a bowl of nails. Your eyes connected and his read “Help me please.” You scooted over and tried to step between them, steering the conversation in another direction. Suddenly, you felt Park Shin Hye’s hand on your shoulder.

“Yah!” she yelled and you jumped back. “Look,” she hissed, puling you to the side where no one could hear you for a second. “It’s completely obvious how much you like Taemin, but let me tell you one thing. He will never like you. I mean, how long have you known each other? And he’s never asked you out. Face it, he and I are much better suited. Seriously, I’m a big star like he is and well, well… you’re a nobody really. And I am prepared to do whatever it takes to have him.”

You gasped; how could she tell that you liked Taemin? Wait, never mind, that wasn’t the important issue here. “You’ll do anything to have him?” you asked her, mouth agape.
She nodded, and leaned in close. “In fact, I even tapped his phone and found out he was in this class. And don’t bother telling anyone or testing it. I made sure it was trace-proof. The only flaw in this plan is that you’re hear too. I’ve found out everything he likes, and, let’s face it, I’m hot and it won’t be hard.”  With that she twirled off in Taemin’s direction. But wait. He wasn’t there anymore. Where had he gone? Suddenly you felt a tap on your shoulder and you nearly jumped out of your skin.It was Taemin. He grabbed you by the hand suddenly and pulled you towards Park Shin Hye. You had no idea what was going on and your face turned bright red.

“So?” said Taemin loudly, addressing Park Shin ye directly. “When you tapped my phone, you found out everything, hey?” He’d heard everything!

Unable to reply, Park Shin Hye stared at him. “Well,” he continued, grinning broadly, “Did you find out about this?” Grabbing you roughly, he kissed you in front of the room, the way you’d been wishing he would for so long. For second, you forgot about everything that was going on, just thinking about Taemin and the moment. However, as soon as he released you, the room came back into focus and you stumbled back.

“I’m sorry,” Taemin said to you, “But I couldn’t handle hearing her talk to you like that, especially after just finding out that you liked me, too.” He winked at you and, shy again, took your hand, brushing past Park Shin Hye as he walked out.  As the van pulled away, you saw Park Shin Hye running out of the studio in a fit, her team following. In a way, you thought it was sad. She was such a loner, even being such a big star, she had no real friends because of the way she acted. All she had was the fans and people working for her. Oh well, you sighed and rested you head on Taemin’s shoulder. It certainly had been a crazy day! You wondered what tomorrow’s class would be like.
