❝A Little Birdy Told Me❞

Description

Growing up can be a hard thing if you've never really had a taste of reality. For some, the impact is easier. For a boy who's had everything given to him since birth? It might as well be leaving him in his own personal hell. This story begins when Suho - who might as well be a prince - is forced into real life and it seems like his life is ruined. . . until a little birdy flies by and just barely manages to save him.

Foreword

This is Kim Joonmyun - Suho, if you know what's good for you. Ever since birth, he has had everything handed to him. And why not? Coming from an incredibly wealthy family it seems like the natural thing that he would be raised as a prince. He was of course, and free of having any real responsibilities except dressing nice and smiling for cameras. With a life like his he was only boud to turn cold and ignorant! No one seemed to have a problem with this, until the day his family went bankrupt.

This is where you come in.

Your name is Roberta. But . . . you definitely prefer the name Birdy. You came to korea a while ago for the mere sake of getting away from your home, and you haven't gone back since. It was a struggle learning korean when you first came, but you can speak it  now despite having that foreigner accent you decided would never go away. You even opened your own little cupcake / sweets store and named it Birdy's Sweets. Running this own your own is tough, but you've got a determination and good work ethic coming from a poor family from the filthy parts of the city.

It's not only the fact that you're not asian or korean at all that sticks you out of the crowd, but the fact that you don't exactly fit the beauty standard. If those korean girls you see on the streets were flowers, you'd be a tree. A strong, stubborn tree that doesn't need too much to grow and get along. And you're just fine with that.

Oh, and one more little detail before this story starts. Your lungs? Not so good. Coming from a poluted city, your lungs were never the healithiest and you've gotten asthma as a result. It doesn't bother you too much, in fact not at all, but you're always aware of what you can do and what you can't, and you know your limits.

So . . . what happens when the strong bird and the sensitive prince meet?

Now! This is a SuhoxYou fic, but I thought I'd try writing it with a little bit more different than the usual ulzzang-appearance-bullied-girl story and went with a "you" that isn't korean haha~ We'll see how this goes, and hopefully you guys will like it :')

{ also a big thanks to chromosome for the poster <3 }
