A/N: hello again! I promised to myself that I won't start another fic so that I could focus on my current one. But that's life, we broke our promises, even to ourselves lol XD but this idea came just few hours ago while I'm reading the PLL book...and I couldn't focus on that because I was itching to write this story... so I did. So as you can see there's no main image and background image... but hopefully, that will not stop you guys to read my story. So here it is, I hope you enjoy :D

PROLOGUE

“I bet they already have all they need and want in this world.”

I looked up from my book when I heard that statement. I am currently at the secluded part of the university’s library, studying my brains out for the upcoming exam. I want to study in a quiet place where – as long as possible – no people around so I could concentrate much better. But I think I’m not the only one who wants that place.

“Of course. Look at them, all famous and beautiful. If I didn’t follow their careers since the day they debut I would have thought they aren’t real. They’re just so perfect!” One of the two university student said enthusiastically.

From my spot, I could see - what it seems - a concert playing on the screen of the laptop in front of the two girls. They both each have a piece of the ear phone in their ear.

I just shook my head lightly and then looked down again to my open book.

“Oh, look at Jessica!” I perked up, abruptly, when I heard that. “What a gorgeous being. She’s my ultimate bias” the first girl proclaimed excitedly on her seat.

Now that I focused my eyes intently on the screen, I could indeed see the figure of the girl mentioned earlier, she’s singing solo while waving occasionally at the audience. Even though I couldn’t hear it, I could assume that everyone on the audience gone wild with just that simple gesture.

A small smile formed on my lips.

“Oh, so you’re a Gorjess then?” the first girl nod. “She has the ice princess image but I am more on the funny and bubbly kind of personality, so I go to Sunny and Hyoyeon…”

I didn’t get to listen more on their conversation because I got distracted by the vibration on my pocket where my cellphone was.

I took it out and saw that I got a new text message.

Where are you right now?

It says.

At the library, Studying.

I replied.

I didn’t get a response after that so I just continue what I supposedly doing. Though, every now and then I would steal a glance at my cellphone that was now lying beside my book.

I absentmindedly looked at the window beside me and saw that it’s already sunset. Thankfully, the library closed at 9 pm so I still have a time. For some reason, I just couldn’t study at home. I always end up doing something else so I preferred doing school works here at the university, specifically, at the library.

I don’t know when or how but eventually I end up sleeping with my head lying at the top of my open book facing the window.

An eerie feeling washed over me when my consciousness came back but I instantly relaxed when I felt a soft finger tracing the spot between my eyebrows down to the tip of my nose, then it will traced up then down again.

Only one person does that to me.

I decided to open my own eyes just to be greeted by a set of beautiful eyes. The owner of those eyes was in the same position as mine, her head was also lying on top of the table but instead at the window, she’s facing me instead.

She stopped what she’s doing once she saw that I’m already awake. She moved away the few strands of my bangs out of my eyes to see them clearly then proceeded to tuck in both her arms under her head and used them as a pillow much like what I did to my book.

We just look at each other for a second; savoring this very quiet moment with just only the two of us that seems living in this big world.

A small smile eventually graced on her lips.

“Hey” she whispered. “You’re finally awake.”

I don’t know why but I suddenly feel like crying. There’s a lump in my throat that I’m having a hard time swallowing.

Maybe because it’s almost a month since the last time I saw her in person. Of course, there’s a video chatting that we always did whenever she had a free time. There were also phone and text conversations... But that’s not enough.

It’s never enough.

And now that she’s here, right in front of me that I realized how much I missed her.

Absence makes heart grow fonder indeed.

“’hey’ to you too” my voice cracked slightly and it didn’t go unnoticed to her. The smile slipped off her lips, I could see her swallowing and her eyes clouded by tears instantly.

She misses me too. That makes me happy somewhat.

“You’re finally here, Jessica.” I whispered.

“Aren’t you tired?” I asked as I fixed her cap and huge sun glasses that she’s using as her disguise. We’re now at the outside of the university ground waiting for a taxi. There are only few people here and there though the security guard eyed us suspiciously.  It is safe to say that he was not the one that let Jessica in the campus.

“You just got off from the plane after your busy schedule on japan. You could just meet me tomorrow or I could just visit you on your dorm, you know.” I continued then raised my eyebrow at her. “And I don’t think your manager would just let you to come here, not to mention, by only just yourself”

Jessica pouted. “I ran out and took a taxi after we landed. But I already told Tiffany and Yoona that. So they’re the ones who’s going to explain to our manager…and… I just really want to surprise you and… to see you.” She whispered the last part.

I couldn’t help but to smile at how adorable Jessica was especially when she’s shy.

Nope! She’s definitely not an ice princess...

...well, at least to me.

I grabbed her hand, about to suggest for us to take a walk instead of just waiting here but that idea flew out from my mind when I felt her icy cold hands.

“God, Jess, you’re freezing” I said concernedly. It’s almost December and the winter season is coming so everyone could already feel the cold wind but Jessica’s temperature is just too much.

Before she could open , I already untangled the scarf around my neck and proceeded to place it around Jessica’s neck. Sadly, it’s the only thing I could offer since I didn’t bring my coat.

While I am securing the scarf around Jessica’s neck she suddenly gave me a peck on my cheek. I instantly blushed because of that action.

She just gave me a cheeky grin.

After sometime, we finally got in a taxi. I told the taxi driver where the address of SNSD’s dorm is.

“Sooyoung” Jessica whined, I cringed at that. Well, I miss that too, I guess.

I could hear the taxi driver snickering at us but I just ignored him and then turned to Jessica.

“Why?” I asked confusedly.

“I want to have a date with my girlfriend” she said in a quiet tone so the driver won’t hear her.

I blushed slightly at the word ‘girlfriend’.

Yeah, I’m SNSD’s member Jessica Jung girlfriend, how cool was that?

NO! If to mention those cancelled dates, jealousy because of some sweet moments with the co-stars (even with the co-members), not enough time for each other, couldn’t see each other for a week or worse, for a month and being in a secret relationship.

Definitely NOT cool.

But it’s with Jessica.

And that one reason was more than enough for me.

I sighed “you’re tired and you might get sick if you stay here outside any longer.”

Jessica pouted again. “But I might get busy again tomorrow then the next day and the day after that.” She reasoned.

I chuckled at that. “Then I would take you on a date after the day of that day after the next day of tomorrow.” I scrunched my nose “did you get that?”

“No” she shook her head then laugh I couldn’t help but to laugh too.

After that, we eventually quieted down and then with a serious and sincere tone I said “we have plenty of time, so don’t stress yourself out about that date, that will surely happen soon, okay?”

Jessica stared at me for a moment, reading something on my expression, then nod and offered me a smile.

Minutes passed. It’s more or less 45 minutes before we get to SNSD’s place.

I turned to Jessica who’s now looking outside the window. I could see that her eyes are already drooping.

“Come here” I pulled her to me and put my arm over her shoulder while she rests her head on the nook of my neck. “Just sleep okay? I will wake you up when we finally there”

Jessica only hummed in response.

“I finally have what I need” I heard her say after a while.

I burrowed my eyebrows confusedly “what?”

But Jessica only snuggled closer to me; I could tell that she’s sleeping.

Hmm, I never thought that she’s a sleep talker I smiled at the idea of that. Adding that to 9453334 lists of reasons why Jessica is cute.

“I missed you” I whispered to her “and I love you” I added, suddenly feeling the urge to say that words.

I laid my head on top of hers gently then proceeded to close my eyes, savoring this very moment while it last.

I don’t know what happened or how it happened but when the next minute that I opened my eyes all my surroundings are suddenly spinning around me, it makes me feel nauseous. There’s also a screeching sound and cars horning that hurts my eardrum.

I was about to bring my hands to cover my ears but halted when I realized that there’s something, or rather, someone in my arms.

“Jessica” I breathed out.

But that’s the only thing that I uttered for I suddenly felt a big impact on my body. The next thing I know, she’s not in my arms anymore and I felt so light then everything went black.

The last thing in my mind was the realization that…

…we don’t have any more time, after all.
