Foreword

 

The pain was horrid. Something I had never experienced before; but it felt delicious. It felt...soothing, in the most sadistic way possible. Blood pooled from the deep wound and leaked onto the rock. My mouth watered when the cold air hit it and made it sting even more. Even though I was in pain; I wasn't hurting.

You found a nice way to describe it and the feelings behind it and you are right, somebody who did not experience this would not understand.
