Jessica sat on the windowsill of her bedroom while looking out the window. Her eyes were empty and her lips were parted. She her lips and sighed. That seemed to be all she was doing ever since the day started.

She had woke up with a terrible headache. Her room was freezing cold, like Jack Frost had visited her during the night. She usually only wore a fitting tank top and short shorts to sleep so she was literally a human popsicle when she woke up. Her blankets were scattered throughout her king-sized bed. She got up and hissed as her hipbone was punctured by the corner of her desk. She walked calmly over to her own personal bathroom while a hand laid on the bruise that was forming.

But no physical pain could surpass the amount of pain her heart had endured all these years. Seeing him find another girl and ignoring the one who was there first. It was always like this for Jessica. She had often asked herself what she had done to deserve this kind of torture. Why did she fall for the only man she could never get? Why? She was torn and devastated. And for that reason, she had decided to revert to her icy old self once more. That way, she would not get hurt...ever again.

Jessica opened the window a bit and slid her hand under it, wanting to get in touch with the snowflakes. It was a white Christmas indeed but she had to celebrate this beautiful day along while everyone else had some alone time with their lover. She closed her eyes while she caught some snowflakes which immediately melted under her warm touch.

Her mind drifted off to the Baekyeon couple once again. They kept haunting her, wherever she went. It drove her crazy and she couldn't help but pull her hair in distress.

She retracted her hand and closed the window but didn't budge from her position. The snow fell beautifully and covered the whole city in a blanket of snow. She stared at the park in front of her house. The blanket of snow was untouched, that was until a couple of children ran into there and started making snow angels.

Jessica blinked in surprise and smiled softly. A smile that had been through so much pain yet it makes its appearance once more. It was sad and bitter. Although they were kids, Jessica couldn't help but feel envy towards them. They were so carefree, they had nothing to worry about, at least for many years to come.

Without the girl knowing, tears had gathered in her eyes and were threatening to spill over. She sniffed a little before tearing her eyes from the happy duo in the park. They were making snowmen now and it was too hard for Jessica to watch without breaking down. They reminded her of those precious times Baekhyun and her used to share. But now, he surely would of replaced them with new memories he made with Taeyeon.

Jessica looked down as tears rolled down her flawless skin. She cried softly and soon, she became a crying mess. Her shirt was now soaked with her own tears and the worst part was, she couldn't stop. She stopped to grab a tissue to wipe the remaining of her tears. She was pretty sure her eyes were red and puffy from crying the night before and now. She literally cried until she had no more tears to spare.

She shivered through her thin blouse and hobbled over to her closet to find some new clothes to wear. Pulling out a white knitted top, she stripped herself of her wet blouse and slipped on the new piece of clothing. It was warm and comfy, definitely worth the price.

Suddenly, her phone rang in the far corner of her room. Jessica groaned and sniffed once more before heading over to find it in the pile of her dirty clothes. She d around until she finally came across the device.

She stared at the screen and bit her lips to prevent herself from breaking down once more. Why was he calling her at this time of the day? Knowing that she couldn't avoid him anymore, she allowed her finger to hover above the Accept Call option as she debated what to do in her head. Suddenly, the call ended, as if he had given up and Jessica just simply tossed her phone onto her bed.

She headed to the full sized mirror on the wall of her bedroom and stared at herself. She looked horrendous. Her skin was a sickly pale which completely contrasted with the dark circles under her eyes looked even darker today. Her eyes were red and puffy. At least her face was bloated...Good thing she resisted her craving for ramen last night.

Again, the soft melody of her phone disrupted the peaceful silence in her room. She sighed and answered it.

"Merry Christmas Sica!" The cheerful voice shouted into the small device, making Jessica cling from the loudness.

"Merry Christmas Baek..." She said softly.

"Are you still mad at me?" He asked in an equally soft voice.

Jessica didn't respond. She hesitated. Should I tell him the truth? No. Came her answer immediately. She would never ever tell him.

"Are you coming tonight?" She asked, avoiding his question with one of her own. Even if he told her he wasn't going to come, she had foolishly held on to that little speck of hope that he would be willing to ditch Taeyeon for her.

She heard him sigh on the other end and immediately knew his answer.

"Jess, I-"

"Forget it," Jessica interrupted coldly, "have fun on your date." Although it hurt her dearly to say it, she managed to force it out and hung up.

She pulled out some skinny jeans and a jacket before shouting to let her parents know that she was going out. She put on some ankle boots with heels and grabbed her Longchamp tote bag from the counter before slamming the door shut.

She breathed in the refreshing yet chilly air before letting a smile occupy her pink plump lips. She was strolling around the neighborhood when stumbled upon a young and seemingly lost boy. She bent down and looked at the younger boy with concerned written all over her face.

"Are you okay?" She breathed out while scanning the little boy to make sure he wasn't injured or any of that sort.

"I'm okay noona," He said calmly and flashed her a small but charming smile. Jessica's smile widen at the boy's small gesture and chuckled. She could tell he was going to be a real heartbreaker when he grew up.

"Is something wrong then?" She asked with a slight tilt of her head.

"No, I just lost my hyung," He replied with an adorable pout. Jessica giggled at his cuteness and proceeded to ruffle his hair.

"Noona will help you find your hyung then," She assured him with a small wink and scooped him up. 

"How does he look like?" Jessica asked while giving the kid her full attention.

"Hmm," The kid tapped his chin with his little fingers and began explaining with his hands. "He's very very tall like the skyscrapers in photos he shows me. His hair is yellow! Just like the sun. And he looks like- like an a-angry bird all the time," The kid said before giggling uncontrollably, squirming in her arms that was restricting his actions. Jessica set him on the soft snow and laughed along with the kid.

"What's your name sweetie?" She asked and tapped his nose while he rolled around in the snow.

"My name is Kenneth Wu!" He chirped and beamed at the older girl.

Wu? Jessica tilted her head and furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Isn't that a Chinese surname? Why does his name sound so familiar?

"Kenneth Wu! Where the heck are you?" A deep voice called out in English.

Jessica's head snapped up and immediately turned to the direction the voice came from. She stood up straight and looked around but didn't spot a blonde giant anywhere. She frowned and looked down at Kenneth.

"Where- Did you hear him just now?" She asked to make sure she didn't finally go crazy from all the heartbreak and began hearing things. To her relief, Kenneth nodded and beamed.

"Yeah! That was my hyung!" He shouted happily and ran in the direction the voice came from.

Jessica's eyes widened in astonishment as she ran after the elated boy. "Kenneth! Wait up!" She called and made an attempt to grab him but to no avail.

She looked up but didn't stop in time thus crashing into a built but not buff structure who just happened to be a grown male. Jessica quickly got up, flustered and bowed multiple times.

"Sorry for not looking at where I was going," She mumbled softly.

"It's okay. Just be careful next time since not everyone is as forgiving as I am." His voice was cold and yet strangely familiar.

Jessica just merely nodded with her head hung low.

"Hey, look up for a second," The male requested.

Jessica frowned at his request but complied. She brushed her hair out of her face and met eyes with the male. Slowly as recognition hit her, her eyes widened once more as her hand flew up to . "Kris!" She blurted out and immediately threw her arms around him.

"Jessica," He said and returned the favor.

"How have you been? I haven't seen you in forever! Wait, why didn't you tell me that you arrived?" Questions spilled out of like an endless waterfall.

"Whoa, slow down there tiger," Kris said, putting a hand out in front of him. He bent down and scooped Kenneth up in his arms. "Have you met my little brother? His name is Kenneth."

Jessica chuckled and gave him a small nod while leaning closer to tickle the said boy. "I did." Came her reply.

"You did?!? When?" The blonde asked, clearly surprised by her answer.

"Just before. He was looking for you."

"Oh." Kris rubbed his nape sheepishly. "I'm not the best babysitter for this little guy," He said with a small sigh. "He's just simply too hyper for me to keep up."

Jessica laughed. "I can see that." She paused for a while before suggesting, "Hey, do you want to come over for a family dinner? My parents would be thrilled to see yours again and it would be the perfect opportunity for us to catch up."

Kris' eyes light up and he nodded in response. "That sounds great! But I'm kind of hungry right now and I think this little guy is too, so could we please go to a cafe to warm up and grab some pastries?" He asked pointed to the boy that was riding on his shoulders.

Jessica chuckled and nodded. "Of course! I haven't eaten breakfast myself."

In this blissful moment, everything was forgotten. No thoughts of Baekhyun or the couple popped up in Jessica's head, and Kris' troubles seemed oh so far away. And...Kenneth was happy. From far away, the trio looked like a happy and completed family, bringing smiles on each other's faces. If only they knew the struggles these three face behind their happy facade.

After a short walk, they arrived at a winter themed cafe. Jessica chewed her bottom lip nervously. For the first time that hour, she thought about him. The one that never cared enough and had always disregarded her ever since she came into his life. Jealousy, anger, pain, grief, they all contributed to who she was about to become - a true ice princess. She let out a sigh and looked over at the Wu siblings.

"What do you guys want?" She asked while walking towards the duo.

"Hot chocolate with whipped cream and tons of marshmallows!" Kenneth shouted excitedly.

Kris chuckled. "Get me a black coffee. Hot."

Jessica nodded and smiled before walking towards the counter. She squatted down and scanned the sweets displayed. She straightened up and looked up at the cashier.

"Hey," She greeted with a small smile. "A hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows, a hot black coffee and a mocha frappe please," She chirped and dug into her bag for her wallet. "Oh and a slice of raspberry cheesecake please!" Jessica continued looking through the junk-filled bag as the cashier took other customer's orders. Suddenly, she felt a presence next to her and she looked up in response. Kris was standing there with his wallet.

"I'll pay," He said, handing the money to the cashier. Jessica looked at Kris and frowned in disapproval.

"I was going to pay," She said with a small pout.

"It makes no sense for the lady to pay. Would I ever get a second date if I made you pay?" He asked cheekily.

Jessica cocked an eyebrow in his direction and chuckled. "Touche."

"Plus, you were holding up the line," He said, gesturing to the long line of people.

Together, they walked back to their booth with the drinks. 

"You ordered the cheesecake?" Kris asked, pointing to it. Jessica nodded in response.

"Aren't you hungry?"

Kris shook his head and laughed. "And you think a slice of cheesecake is going to fill all three of us up?"

Jessica blushed and shrugged. "We could always order more. You never told me what you wanted!" She protested and scrunched up her nose in disdain.

Kris just chuckled and sipped his coffee. Jessica patted her cheeks so they would cool down and grabbed the fork afterwards.

"Kenneth! Do you want some?" She asked sweetly pointing to the cake.

The boy nodded eagerly. "Yes please!" He chimed, opening his mouth wide. Jessica chuckled at the latter's cuteness and fed the boy. He chewed slowly and gave her a thumbs-up. 

"Thank you noona!" He eyesmiled at her and continued drinking his hot chocolate, getting whipped cream all over his face. Jessica could only giggle at the sight and turned to Kris.

"Your dongsaeng is so cute!" She gushed. 

Kris nodded. "He gets it from me," He said with a wink. With that, they both started laughing. 

"Phew, nice joke," Jessica said and held the fork with the cake in front of him. "Say ah, Kris."

Kris blushed and cleared his throat before parting his lips, allowing Jessica to feed him. "Thanks." He mumbled.

"What was that?" Jessica leaned closer, pretending not to have heard him.

"You heard me," He said, picking up another fork.

"Feed me!" Jessica demanded in a jocular tone.

Kris rolled his eyes but complied to her request. 

Bypassers cooed at their cuteness. Little did they know, Baekhyun and Taeyeon also caught them in act.

"Baekhyun-ah, isn't that Jessica?" Taeyeon asked, pointing at the cafe's window while they passed by. The male furrowed his eyebrows and walked closer to get a better look. It was Jessica. He blinked and stared at the couple who was acting like lovers in the cafe. Why hadn't Jessica told him that she had a boyfriend? I thought we told each other everything! Baekhyun grumbled and grabbed a hold of Taeyeon's hand.

"Are you thirsty? Let's go inside," He suggested, not even waiting for the girl to reply. Taeyeon opened to protest but no words came out. What's wrong with him? She thought with a small frown. Baekhyun dragged the helpless girl inside and started for the counter, while stealing occasional glances at the Krissica couple.

"What do you want to drink?" Baekhyun asked as they were ordering.

"Milk tea," She replied. Baekhyun nodded and continued ordering.

"Go save a seat for us," He instructed.

Taeyeon sighed and randomly sat down on a seat next to the counter. Baekhyun soon came over with the drinks and frowned at her choice.

"Let's sit over there," He said and pointed to a table where he could keep an eye on Jessica. Taeyeon pouted cutely and followed him quietly, not wanting to throw a tantrum in public.

Baekhyun fumed silently as he watched the two interact. He wanted to march up to her and... And do what? He didn't know. He just wanted her away from the tall blonde. He shook his head and pursed his lips. Forget about them. You have Taeyeon, the love of your life! He assured himself and tore his gaze from the couple to focus on the pouting girl in front of him.

"What's wrong?" He asked, worried.

"Nothing. Could we go watch the movie now? Today's the last day they're showing it!" She exclaimed. 

Baekhyun was about to nod when he spotted the male pick up a child and nodded at Jessica. They cleaned up their booth and left the cafe. 

"Can you go alone? I have something to do," He said. "Sorry," He added before taking off after them. Taeyeon could only sigh as she looked at the movie tickets in her hands. 

Meanwhile, the trio (Kris, Jessica and Kenneth) arrived in front of Jessica's house. 

"Do you want to come in?" Jessica asked.

Kris shook his head. "Maybe next time. We have to go home and prepare."

Jessica gave him a small pout and nodded. "Okay, remember to come visit next time!" She called out before grabbing Kris. She stood on her tippy toes and pecked his cheek. 

"Merry Christmas Kris," She squeaked and closed the door behind her.
