Kris hated seeing you like this; he hated seeing you struggle; he hated seeing you have such a hard time with simple tasks such as brushing your teeth or getting a drink of water. He regretted the day he raised his voice at you. He regretted the day that doctor had to tell him news he thought he’d never hear in all of his life. He watched you get up from your guys bed and anticipated on what you were going to do.

    “Baobei, where are you going?” He asked you, holding on to your arm lightly. You tried to make out the direction of his voice and he noticed what you were trying to do. He sighed and got up, letting go of your arm and sitting next to you and putting his big hands on the sides of your face. “Do you need help?” He asked you softly. You quickly shook your head; you didn’t want him to help you, you wanted to show him that you could make it to the bathroom yourself; it was such a small task anyways.
