A Beautiful Little Fool

Description

Not long ago I watched "The Great Gatsy" (1974). I enjoyed it a lot, it's a wonderful story. One thing that never left my head were Daisy's words about her daughter, "All right... I'm glad it's a girl. And I hope she'll be a fool--that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool."

So, basing myself on that, I decided to write a short fic. It's not related to "The Great Gatsy" (meaning it's not a fanfic based on "The Great Gatsby"), but it's inspired in it and also in some of the characters stories. I'll let the fic speak for itself.

All right... I'm glad it's a girl. And I hope she'll be a fool--that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.

 

That's what I became. That's what she made of me. That's what he tried to change. 

I hope she's proud of me now. I became what she wanted, an extension of herself, more perfect in every aspect.

 

I became a beautiful little fool.
