Lee Taemin is a musical prodigy. He started playing the piano at four. He composed his first piece at six. He was taken in as a student by one of the most famous pianists in Korea. He performed his first concert at nine. He went on tour at eleven. He's put out an album and has won a handful of awards since. But now at seventeen, his parents see that he's lacking. His only 'friends' are over thirty. He hasn't attended a day of school since he was eight. He's been homeschooled since. Yes, he is 'ahead' of most schools. But his parents think it's about time he becomes more social. So they decide to pull him from his tours and concerts and recordings and enroll him in a local high school, much to his reluctance. 

There lays a group with their own fame. They call themselves SHINee. They do everything that Taemin hates. They sing pop songs. They dance to synced choreography. They rap. Taemin can't possibly consider that 'real' music. Not with his trained ear. To him, it's noisy and a waste. 

However, the lead rapper of SHINee starts to take a liking to Taemin. Will he ever be able to break through his stubborn shell?
