Dear Diary,

It’s still the same thing. I love Gerald. He doesn’t notice. Blah, Blah, Blah.

 I really think I should move on. Do you think it’s a bad idea to pretend to like someone?

*HEY KIM, yelled Gerald.

Oh, well gotta go diary, I’ll write more later.

“Coming Ge!” I yelled back, as i slammed my diary close and hid it.

Ge, or Gerald Anderson. He’s my best friend since birth, and my long time crush.

“KIM HURRY UP WE’RE GONNA BE LATE”, Yelled Gerald, this time was sounding more impatiently.

“MAG-HINTAY KA NGA.”

“THE MOVIE’S GONNA START WITHOUT US!”

“OO NA”, I said as I grabbed my flats and sweater

“Oy! Let’s go?”

“You take so long!”

“Sorry!” I said as I batted my eyelashes looking as innocent I could.

“If we miss some parts, you owe me dinner.”

“And if we get there and its still trailers YOU owe me dinner”

“Deal!”

As we were parking Gerald was grinning, seemed as if he was sure to win the bet.

We both got out tickets and went inside.

I was right. Now he owes me Dinner.

“So, sweetheart where would you like to have dinner?”

I didn’t want him to buy me dinner, I’d fell really bad after.

“Gerald, you really don’t have to, I’ll pay for myself”

“No, no, no, I made the deal so I have to stick to my word”

“Gerald, please, I really don’t mind paying for myself”

“Buttercup, please? I wouldn’t be a gentleman if I make the lady pay”

“Fine.”

“I love you best friend”

I’ve always wanted those 3 words. But it will always stay the same. Just as a best friend. Well, Diary. Have I got something to write for you.

“Kim? Are you alright?

“Huh? Oh. Yeah, I’m totally fine. C’mon lets go get seats”

“Okay, if you say so.”
