The pain is choking me like never before.

The world will close over me, and I will die alone in this agonizing roar filling my ears, enclosing the state of war between my stubborn will and death. My eyes stings with the salt of the monster coiling its fiingers over my ankles and waist. I feel tears attack the corner of my eyes and they well out, mixing with the rain that crashes against my flesh.

I can't breathe.

Slowly, I feel my fingers slacken, and the fingers draw me in between its teeth.
