Waiting

Description

" More tea?" She looked up to see an old lady. Carrying to what seemed like a silver tray.
" Oh yes.." She leaned back so the lady would pour her tea. She watched as it smoothly poured in,steam rising up as she finished. The lady bowed and left.
She looked out the window of the train. Was this really happening? She could remember like it was just yesterday. That call that made her schedule change  completely. She had to hurry before it was to late. It was as if slow motion just wanted to mess with her once she got there. Then again was it trying to slow everything so she could see what had happened?

Here he lied. Broken but beautiful. Lifeless but sweet. Wounded physically but not in mentally. He knew who she was. He was hoping to see her soon but things got in the way. She didn't seem to think strait from what was displayed in front of her. Not only was he bruised but he was bleeding.

She didn't take a minute to spare but ran to his side. His breathing had been rapid and her heart rate was beating like crazy. Nothing mattered more but to save. Save what she knew she'd need. But she couldn't. She wasn't just a hero or a doctor. She was an ordinary girl in a state of shock.

Traumatized faces were plastered on peoples faces as they stood around the two. Nothing could be done but to either wait for the ambulance or wait for death to come by. She hated waiting. She always had to wait on occasion but this was by far the worst.

Dropping to her knees, she cried hysterically in his shoulder. He was loosing not only blood but also life, breath. She repeated and repeated.
" No don't leave me. No don't leave me..." All the people around them stared. Pained, sad, shocked painted their pale faces as they watched her cry.

" Hello I was won-" He stopped and stared. Her face was stuffed in a book but he could see a little bit of it. Her hair was in a bun and her glasses were on. He couldn't describe how beautiful she was. How she turned every page of her book and continued reading. She let down the book and sipped her tea. He had to talk to her. He didn't know why. It was like she was a magnet and he was a piece of metal. He was attracted to her. Nothing else mattered than to talk to her.

She was getting ready for her upcoming event.Things were planned and others were ready to be seen. She slipped on a pair of her silver heels and put on her mothers diamond earrings. This was the day. The day she got married. It seemed as if it was just like yesterday when he asked her. She recited her vows and commitments. She was quite nervous about everything. How she walked, how she stared ahead to the man of her dreams when she'd arrive at the entrance, and how she'd place the ring on his finger. Nothing else mattered than to get married to the one she loved.

Back at the alter things were going well. His cousins were waiting at the alter. All lined up diagonally and her friends and sisters lined up the same way. He fixed his bow tie and dusted his suit off on the shoulders. Told the priest that he was all ready. Everyone hushed down as the piano started to play and the doors to the entrance opened. In walked the ring holder and the flower girl. They both stood side by side. She throwing flowers and him waiting for her to finish at the alter. Next came what he was waiting for. The one he loved the most stood ahead of him. White fabric cascaded from her being and her veil was making her face glow. Her father stood beside her. Arm in arm. People stood up and watched as she walked down to aisle. Gorgeous as can be but classy than any other girl he'd been with. Nothing else mattered than to keep her in his arms.

" Grandpa I'd like you to meet my wife" He had arrived at his grandfathers house. They were visiting for a chat. To get to know each other since he couldn't make it.
" Hello nice to meet you! I'm Chin Ho" Chin Ho,or his grandpa, got up and shook her hand. She backed away and shook her head. Her husband and Chin Ho froze, astonished. She smiled and hugged Chin Ho ,making him bust into a fit of laughter.
" She's a keeper." His grandfather mouthed to him. He laughed even more and nodded. They all joined in and shared memories on his back porch. Enjoying the sunset and sipping nice hot tea.

" What was your favorite part of the honeymoon?" He asked her. They were walking on the beach. The waves crashed and the sea spray filled the air. The sunset shown in the horizon, creating a glow affect on their beings.
" I don't have a favorite." She answered, staring off ahead of them. He squeezed her hand and laughed. She let go of his hand and turned around, making her fluffy white sun dress twirl.
" Come and catch me!" She began to giggle as she ran off. Both lovers ran and laughed. He caught up to her and tackled her to the sand. Tickling her in every spot possible. They ended the fit of laughter with a kiss. The sun was down and the moon shown.
They stared up at the sky, counting stars and naming constellations.

" He's been shot!" Her relative screamed over the phone. How'd that happen? What did he do? Why?
She dropped her cell phone and ran to the front door of their house. Hopefully she'll make it. Make it in time. This is the part where things just want to mess with you. People got in the way of her. Her car wouldn't start up fast enough. There was traffic. She had to get there. She kept telling herself that. Nothing else mattered but to get there in time.

She hadn't known it be like this. Someone had told her what happened. Supposedly some guy had threatened him for money but he refused. Again, the man threatened and reached into his pocket. At that time her husband didn't react fast enough and was shot in the stomach and the other in the arm. He was in shock and couldn't control what had happened after that. His blood was spilling out and he was loosing his breath. Body becoming cold. Nothing else mattered but to wait and be saved.

After all those memories. After all those times. It had to end here. She hated this part of the marriage. The vows they both made at the alter.
" Till death do us apart" It ringed in her head constantly.
She hoped it wouldn't come to this. Slow motion was no longer there. The people were no longer there. He was no longer there either. She cradled him in her arms, silently crying, slightly rocking back and forth. She felt him alive. His soul just wasn't there. He wasn't breathing. Nothing. Her husband. Her love. Her life. Was gone. Right there in her arms. Dead.

Nothing else mattered but to go on alone. Forever.Till death reached her being and she would be beside him in her grave.  Beside him in Heaven....
