CL became nervous as she got dressed to go out with Kim Hyun Joong. He somehow got No Min Woo to give her the day off. Allowing her to spend whole morning looking for something to wear and thinking about how the date would go.

CL fell onto her bed sighing and thinking that this would be a bad idea. She had no idea what to expect or what to do on a date. Yes she’s read it in books and seen it in movies, but this was the first time she’d ever get to experience it. CL pushed herself off of the bed and decided to go relax in the living room. Getting ready for her date with Kim Hyun Joong was as stressful as getting ready for an exam or even worse. She had to get out of her room so she could think clearly. Right when she sat down Minzy walked through the door.

“Hi Minzy,” CL said. She didn’t expect any answer back because it was always the same with Minzy. Minzy would just ignore CL’s existence and go about the dorm as if no one was there.

Minzy glared at CL, “Don’t hi me!” She was shocked that for the first time Minzy had answered her. Well that’s a start, CL thought. “If you’d know what’s good for you, you wouldn’t go out with Kim Hyun Joong,” Minzy said coldly. How did she know we were going on a date?! But then she remembered Minzy was friends with him.

CL shook her head, “Well we’re just going to catch a movie nothing big.”

She coughed a laugh and then gave CL a stern look, “Nothing big huh? Hmm…just by the look of your face it looks like it’s something big.” Wow she’s good.

CL gave Minzy a half smile, “Well…”

Minzy put her hand up to stop her, “Save it! I don’t wanna hear it!” Minzy then marched towards her room and slammed the door shut. Okay, at least we had somewhat of a conversation.

After CL had calmed her nerves she went back to her room to get dressed. CL put on her favorite overalls and put her hair into two puffy pigtails before exiting her room to go to the bathroom to take a look. As CL was walking out the room Minzy had also exited her room.

Minzy looked CL up and down and then to the time. It’s almost time for her to go on her date and she’s still not ready, Minzy thought. “Aren’t you going to get ready,” Minzy asked.

CL looked at Minzy confused, “What? I am ready.”

Minzy rolled her eyes, “Funny! Why aren’t you ready yet?”

CL looked at Minzy seriously, “I am ready.” OMG! Really, Minzy thought. Minzy walked up to her and pulled her into her room. “Ahh,” CL screamed not knowing what was going on.

When Minzy was in her room she looked to CL, “Turn!” CL did what Minzy said and she turned. “Hmmm…” Minzy said as she looked at CL’s body structure.

After CL had done a 360 turn she looked to Minzy, “So what do you think? Do you like my outfit?”

Minzy didn’t answer her and went straight to her closet. She threw random things from shirts, jeans, and shoes out of her closet as she looked for something for CL to wear. “Yes this will do,” Minzy said. She then turned around and tossed the items she had in her hands to CL. CL looked to see an elegant white blouse with designer black jeans in her hands. She was surprised and didn’t know what to say. “Go try it on,” Minzy said pushing CL towards her room.

CL did what she was told to do and came back out of her room to show Minzy.“So what do you think,” she asked as she shyly walked out of her room.

Minzy held her chin in her hand looking CL up and down, “Hmm…not too bad. Come here.” Minzy yanked CL back to her room and made her sit on her bed. “Couldn’t you just like do a simple ponytail or something instead of those,” Minzy said looking at CL’s puffy pigtails.

CL touched her hair, “What does that mean? I think it looks nice.”

Minzy shook her head, “Actually no it doesn’t, not unless you’re a little 4 or 5 years old!” Minzy quickly took out the pigtails letting CL’s hair fall to her shoulders. She combed through CL’s hair to take out the puffiness. “There,” Minzy said when she was done.

CL had naturally straight and thin hair that made Minzy’s job a whole lot easier. CL liked this little makeover that Minzy was giving her. She never really had time to do these type of girly things when she was back home because she was always too busy helping her parents. But as much as CL liked the special treatment she couldn’t help but wonder why. Why, all the sudden, was Minzy nice to her and willing to give her a makeover?

“Minzy why are you doing this,” CL asked.

Minzy handed her a pair of black heel boots, “Put these on. Because I can’t let you walk out that door looking like you did. That would be so wrong in many ways.”

CL smiled at her thinking that Minzy might finally start coming around. She got up to show Minzy the final product, “Well?”

Minzy was impressed with her work now if only CL could get rid of those horrific glasses Minzy would be able to put a little makeup on her and be done. “Do you have contacts,” Minzy asked.

CL shook her head, “No it’s too expensive.” Minzy made a mental note to take a look at CL’s file later on. “Well I guess this will have to do. Check and see if you like it,” Minzy said nodding towards the full length mirror on her door.

CL gave her a half smile, “Okay!” She turned around and was impressed. She had never seen herself so feminine so mature looking. CL couldn’t help but get teary eyed.

Minzy heard CL sniffling and walked up from behind her looking into the mirror also, “What? You don’t like it?”

CL shook her head and quickly embraced Minzy, “Thank you Minzy!” Minzy was shocked by this sudden action and didn’t know what to do. Minzy thought it wasn’t much so why was she crying? CL hugged Minzy, “I thought you hated me! But then you do this! Thank you Minzy, this is the first time anyone has ever done something like this for me.”

Minzy patted CL on the back not really wanting to embrace her back, “Well they’re used items anyways and umm…if you want them you can have them.” Not only was Minzy giving her a makeover she was giving CL the clothes too!

CL was touched and pulled away, “No I can’t accept these expensive things. But I will be more than careful with your things I promise.”

Minzy couldn’t understand why CL was so emotional about this. Minzy shook her head, “Do you think I want them back now that you’ve worn them? Plus I was going to throw them away anyways.”

CL gave her a half smile, “Well if you put it that way I guess I could accept them. These are very nice clothes I can’t let them go to waste.”

Minzy held back her smile CL was going on a date with Kim Hyun Joon. If it were someone else then maybe, maybe she would have given CL a smile. Minzy then started to push CL out of her room, “Alright get out now. I’d like my room to myself.”

But before CL could fully be pushed out of Minzy’s room she turned around and gave Minzy one more huge, “Thank you Minzy.” CL then walked out of the room and Minzy closed her door not feeling right. CL is an innocent girl could she really let her go on that date with Kim Hyun Joon?

When CL left Minzy’s room she heard a knock at the door. CL couldn’t help but feel giddy inside. If only her parents were here to see her off this moment would be perfect. As CL was walking towards the door, Minzy swung her door open and grabbed a hold of her arm. CL looked back at Minzy, “What’s the matter?” Minzy didn’t know if she could tell CL the truth, but she most definitely wasn’t going to let her go on that date with him.“What’s wrong Minzy, “CL said.

“Do…do you mind if we go on a double date,” Minzy quickly said.

CL smiled at Minzy, “Of course not. I’d be less nervous with you there. Who’s gonna be your date?”

Minzy smiled at her, “Don’t worry I got one. Just don’t tell Kim Hyun Joon okay? I’m gonna get ready and we’ll meet you two there.”

CL smiled and nodded her head, “Okay sure we’re going to…”

Minzy put up her hand to stop her, “I know where you guys are going. Just go ahead I’ll meet you there. Remember don’t tell him that I’m coming okay?”

CL smiled and zipped up , “Not a word.” Minzy smiled before quickly turning to go get dressed.

Kim Hyun Joon was speechless when CL opened the door. She looked beautiful…well almost beautiful. He was impressed and if it weren’t for her glasses he thought she would look like a girl he would  date. He knew Minzy must have had a hand in this, but why would Minzy help him out? Well that didn’t matter right now, at least now he could somewhat endure this date.

“Are you ready to go,” Kim Hyun Joon smiled.

CL smiled at him, “Yeah.”

“Alright let’s go,” he said leading her out to his car.

“Wow you have a really nice car,” CL said impressed.

Kim Hyun Joon shrugged his shoulders, “Yeah it’s okay.”

As he turned the key into the ignition an idea came to him. “So what movie are we going to watch,” CL asked.

He smiled at her, “Change of plans I wanna take you somewhere else.”

“What?! Why?! I mean…what’s wrong with a movie?”

Kim Hyun Joon pouted, “What you don’t like surprises?”

CL shook her head hoping that he didn’t get the wrong impression. “No I do.”

He smiled at her, “Well then just you sit tight and enjoy the ride.” As they drove off CL became worried for Minzy. Minzy was starting to be nice to her and CL wanted to keep building their relationship. Hopefully she won’t be too mad at me when we’re not there, CL thought as they drove off.

“Minzy what’s with you! Why do you wanna go to the movies all the sudden,” No Min Woo asked.

Minzy shrugged her shoulders as she looked around the movie theaters, “I just felt like watching a movie okay. Is it wrong to wanna go watch a movie with a friend?”

No Min Woo shook his head, “No. But you could have asked Dara or Lee Hongki.”

Minzy rolled her eyes at him, “You know Dara is really picky when it comes to movies and every time I’m alone with Lee Hongki it’s awkward! Plus I knew you before I knew any of them.”

“Yeah, yeah. Just hurry and pick a movie already.”

“Wait I got to…get some popcorn,” Minzy tried to stall. Where are they, Minzy thought as she kept looking around.

“Are you sure you ain’t looking for CL and Kim Hyun Joon?” She spun around acting like she didn’t know what he was talking about, but he stood crossing his arms knowing better.

“Aww…shut up! I really do want some popcorn,” annoyed that he knew her real intentions.

Kim Hyun Joon pulled up to La La Land, the famous amusement park. CL’s eyes grew big with excitement. She had always wanted to go there as a little kid but her parents could never afford the gas or the pass to get in. CL leapt out the car, “NO WAY! OMG I’ve always wanted to go here ever since I was a little girl!”

He laughed seeing her eyes light up like a little child. “Well let’s not waste a perfect day standing out here. Let’s go inside!”

CL jumped up and down clapping her hands before reaching for his arm. He laughed as she pulled him towards the gate. When CL got inside she looked around amazed as if she had walked into fun heaven. Kim Hyun Joon handed her a map, “Go crazy!”

CL gave him a wide smile and she did just that.CL was all over the place, running from one ride to the next and then alternating between carnival games. Most of the rides CL had to go by herself because Kim Hyun Joon is afraid of heights. Since he didn’t want to ride most of the rides he became her stuffed animal holder. She had won a stuffed animal at almost all of the carnival booths they had gone too. He didn’t mind holding all of her prizes, it was an excuse for not going on rides.

“Come on Kim Hyun Joon. At least ride the Ferris wheel with me,” CL begged.

Kim Hyun Joon shook his head, “Can’t you see I have to hold all your stuffed animals!”

CL sighed and as she walked over to the Ferris Wheel man, “Excuse me sir can I leave my stuffed animals somewhere so I could ride the Ferris Wheel?”

The man nodded, “Yeah we have compartments here to hold your items as you ride!”

CL gave him a warm smile, “Thank you sir!”

She ran back to him and pulled him in line.“WHA! What are you doing CL,” he asked.

“You’re going to ride the Ferris Wheel with me!”

He shook his head furiously, “No, no, no!”

As they went back and forth, they hadn’t realized that it was their turn to get on.“Umm, excuse me you two. It’s your turn,” the man said opening the gate for them to step through.

Kim Hyun Joon gave him a nervous smile, “Oh no I’m not going on, she’s going on by herself.” But CL lightly pushed him through and walked in after. “We can’t ride with all this,” Kim Hyun Joon reminded her.

She then took all the stuffed animals out of his hands and placed them in the compartment before pulling him to the Ferris Wheel. CL pushed him onto the Ferris Wheel seat and sat next to him. Before he could refuse the Ferris Wheel man had already started up the wheel again. She pulled the bar down over them and Kim Hyun Joon looked at her with scared wide eyes

.“CL! I told you I had to hold the stuffed animals,” he insisted.

CL smiled as she saw beads of sweat starting to form on his forehead. Kim Hyun Joon gripped onto the bar tight as he tried to calm his breathing. “Are you okay?”

Hell No I'm not okay, Kim Hyun Joon thought as he tried not to look down. “Yeah, I…I’m fine,” he nervously spoke. As they were nearing the top the Ferris Wheel came to a stop making their seat rock back and forth.“Oh no, the Ferris Wheel is gonna break,” he panicked.

CL laughed, “No it’s not going to break. They’re just stopping it to let people get off and get on.”

He didn’t believe her. He thought his life was over. When the Ferris Wheel started up again he reached for CL’s arm. CL smiled at him as she scooted towards him. She put her arm around him to comfort him and she could feel him trembling. He must really hate heights, CL thought.

Kim Hyun Joon couldn’t stand to look out at the tiny world below or out around him. He buried his head into CL’s shoulder wishing that the ride was over. CL was a little surprised at his sudden action. But she knew it was out of his fear of heights so she let him lean on her. As he did so, she could feel his warm breath against her neck. She had never had a guy this close to her before. His warm breath gave her a tingling feeling that she couldn’t really explain.

“CL,” he breathed onto her neck.

She became nervous but tried to hide it, “Umm…yeah?”

“Is the ride almost over?”

CL laughed, “Yeah don’t worry. We’re almost to the ground!”

“Really,” he looked up to see for himself. LIES, he thought when he looked down.

He didn’t realize that CL’s face was so close to his when he turned to tell her she had lied to him. When he turned their lips met. Both became stunned as they sat with their lips touching. Finally coming out of shock CL tried to pull away. But Kim Hyun Joon had other plans. He held her face in his hands as he kissed her.

At first CL didn’t want to accept his actions, but then the way he worked her lips was like magic. His lips melted against hers and CL couldn’t help but tremble. Now it was his turn to comfort her as he wrapped his arms around her bringing her closer into the kiss. Before they knew it they were already back on the ground.

“Umm…excuse me,” the man coughed.

CL looked to see that the man was waiting for them to get off. “Oh I’m sorry,” CL blushed forgetting that she was even on the Ferris wheel.

They both got off and started to leave when the man called after them. “Do you guys want your stuffed animals?”

CL’s blush deepened when she also forgot about her stuffed animals. Kim Hyun Joon gave her a half smile, “Don’t worry I’ll get them.” He’s such a gentleman, CL thought as she waited for him by the gate. They both walked in silence. CL was flustered at what had happened; meanwhile Kim Hyun Joon was giving himself a pat on the back for being so smooth.

CL had so much fun that she had forgotten about her stomach.Gggrrr… came a loud sound from CL's stomach. CL froze embarrassed at how loud her stomach grumbled. Kim Hyun Joon faked like he didn’t hear it, “I’m hungry do you wanna go eat?”

CL gave him a half smile knowing he was being polite, “That’s okay. You’ve spent enough on me already.”

He couldn’t believe his ears.Usually girls loved him spoiling them. He didn’t spend anywhere near what he usually would spend on a date. CL noticed he was a little hesitant and she nudged him, “This is more than enough for me!”

Kim Hyun Joon shook his head, “Did I say we were going to eat on your account? No, I’m hungry. I hate eating alone so I’m asking if you would like to tag along with me.”

What a sweetheart, CL thought.Gggrrr… her stomach went once more. “I don’t know,” CL was unsure not wanting to take his kindness for granted.

He rolled his eyes, “CL please can you just sit with me as I eat? I really do hate eating alone.”

“Umm…”

He pointed to the food court area, “Oh yeah, let’s go!” Before she could object he was already running off with her stuffed animals. She sighed as she watched how funny he looked running off with her stuffed animals. When she reached the food court she was surprised to see he was already next in line. As she approached him it was his turn to order.

“Hi can I get 2 combo slices, a salad, a large pepsi, and for you,” he turned to CL.

“What?”

“Come on CL there’s hungry people standing behind us. What would you like, a salad?”

CL shook her head, “No.”

“A diet soda? You can have whatever you want. I have more than enough to pay for both of us.”

CL looked to see all seriousness in his eyes.“Okay.” She turned to the man at the register, “Could I have what he’s having?”

“Coming right up!” Kim Hyun Joon was shocked. He had never taken a girl out on a date that ate as much as him. He glanced over at her to give her a full look. Where the hell does she put it all, he thought.

When their order was up they found a table to sit at. As they sat and ate he was surprised to see that she wasn’t shy to eat in front of him. They talked about random things and before they knew it both of them had completely ate everything.

“Wow that was good,” CL smiled.

Kim Hyun Joon patted his stomach, “Yeah that was! Are you ready to go back?”

CL nodded her head, “Yeah I’m pretty worn out.”

Kim Hyun Joon pulled up to CL’s dorm and parked his car. He then quickly jumped out and came around to open CL’s door for her.“Thank you!”

“Here let me help you take your stuffed animals up for you.”

“Oh you don’t have to. I think I can manage,” CL said as she tried to pick up all of her stuffed animals.

Kim Hyun Joon didn’t listen to her and grabbed all of them out of her hands and started to head towards the dorms. When they were in front of her dorm door CL reached for the pile of stuffed animals. “Could I have one,” he asked.

CL smiled, “Of course, take whichever one you want!”

He stared hard at the pile of stuffed animals CL was holding as if trying to find the right one he wanted. He gazed at all the stuffed animals closely and CL stood amused by the whole thing.“Can I take whatever I want?”

CL’s smile widened, “Yes anything you want!” He stared at the lion close by CL’s face and then back at CL.“Do you want the lion?” He shook his head. “Then what do you want?”

“You,” he said before he planted a kiss onto her lips. After he pulled away he smiled at her and winked as he walked away.S he’s going to be dreaming about me all night, he smirked to himself as he walked back to his car.

CL rushed into the dorm room holding onto the stuffed animals tightly. She leaned against the door as she blushed to herself. “Looks like someone had a good time,” Minzy said startling CL.

“Oh hi Minzy, would you like one of these stuffed animals?”

“I don’t take left overs. I give them!”

CL remembered then that she was supposed to have a double date with Minzy. “I’m sorry…”

Minzy rose her hand, “Save it! I don’t wanna hear your damn excuses!” Minzy glared at CL before marching into her room and slamming the door shut. I guess I deserved that, CL thought.

Fine! I see how it is! If she wants to get hurt it’s fine by me, Minzy thought as she blasted her music.

CL walked to her room exhausted from the best first date she had ever been on. She fell onto her bed with her stuffed animals surrounding her. As she lay starring up at the ceiling she felt strange. She couldn't really understand what it was, but it was something indescribable. Was it love? She shook her head knowing it was too soon to call it that. But she did know there was a slight change in her. She felt warm inside, as if it was Summer. The beginning of something warm and bright. She sighed knowing she'd dream good tonight and if she didn’t, she would have her stuffed animals to wake up to. The special reminders of her first date and her first kisses that were all thanks to Kim Hyun Joon.
