Dancing Alone
Dancing AloneIt’s very late at night or very early in the morning depending on who was being asked yet Sooyoung found herself wide awake. Out of the many lights in the room, only one was and really, it was all she ever needed. In soft, quiet steps, she made her way to the CD player, popping the lid open as she inserted a CD inside. She pressed the lid down and pressed the needed button; a soothing and dreamy melody soon being played from the speakers.
Sooyoung walked away from the CD player, standing in the middle of the room and facing the ceiling to floor mirror before her. The clouds on the opposite wall right behind her made her look like she was in the sky yet she was far from being an angel. It wasn’t that she was in all black; a tank top, an ped jacket and leggings her chosen attire for the night. It was too hard to explain and she neither even want to try.
Closing her eyes, she let the music guide her movements. She looked like the epitome of grace and serenity as she spun, swayed and moved along with the melody. She didn’t care if she looked stupid and out of her mind. No one was there anyway. She was there, dancing all alone in an ungodly hour because it was when she felt free, when there were no scrutinizing eyes watching her every move.
As the tempo of the music increased, her movements quickened in pace, reflecting emotions that were far from being peaceful and light. Sooyoung opened her eyes, watching her own reflection as tears blurred her eyes. The music became a jumbled mess in her mind and before she
