Ara walked into the classroom three minutes before the late bell rang. She sat in the fourth seat in the first row and took out her binder and got straight to work. That was Ara’s daily routine in every class.

Next to her was Taemin.

Taemin would purposely ask her a random question just to get the chance to talk to Ara. He and Ara weren’t best or close friends, just friends. Yep. Sadly, Taemin was friend-zoned.

As Taemin was going to his seat, he took a glimpse at Ara. He saw that Ara had a bow on her head, which looked cute on her.

“Hi Ara” He told her when he was sitting down.

“Hey Taemin” Ara said, writing down what was written on the board. Taemin sighed.

‘It’s always the same’ Taemin thought as he was opening up his notebook. Taemin reached into his pocket and took a highlighter.

‘Damn. No pen’ He thought

“Ara? Do you have an extra pencil?” He asked

Ara looked up, “No. Sorry Taemin”

Taemin pouted.

When Ara saw his pout, she smiled.

“Oh fine here”

“Thanks”

When Ara handed him the pencil, she saw his highlighter with hearts on it.

“That’s a cute highlighter” Ara commented.

“Here” Taemin put the highlighter on her desk.

“Why are you giving this to me?”

Taemin smiled, “Because, you’re the highlight of my life”
