I Don't Like Bad Boys
Description
Bae Yoonyul just couldn't understand why are girls into bad boys?
She wants someone who is more reserved and polite, just like Jang Intae.
But people say, 'be careful what you wish for'.
Foreword
“I don’t like bad boys.”
“Why not? They are hot. They know how to make girls go crazy.”
“That’s why I don’t like them. Especially those who knows their way with women. A smooth talker with a great sense of style. I don’t like those type of guys.”
“So, what kind of guys are you into?”
“I like quiet, shy guys. Someone who doesn’t stand out too much. Someone who speaks softly, dresses modestly, has good manners and respects women. It doesn’t matter if he’s a little awkward or clumsy, I like that.”
“In other words, the boring one.”
They all laughed. I laughed along too, secretly fighting back the urge to roll my eyes out of the eye sockets.
“Maybe someone like that?” She pointed to her back. A guy in pastel coloured sweater - that looked like it was handpicked by his mother - was walking towards our table. He was probably heading for the empty table behind us. If I were to stereotype the physical look of my type of guy, then yes, he looked like one. Neat hair, warm ‘good boy’ look, humble gestures. Even the way he held his food tray so carefully and walked slowly showed how detailed and attentive he was.
“I think I know him. He’s a part time lecturer at the academy. He is friends with my boyfriend.” One of them said. I started to feel a little hopeful. “Hi, Intae!” She waved at him. The other girls greeted him as well, heightening the pitch and level of sugar in their voices on purpose. Intae was so startled that he tripped on his foot. Luckily he didn’t spill his food or they would go to waste. While the girls laughed at his response, I quickly crouched to the floor and helped him up. I was sitting the closest to him anyways.
“Are you okay?” I smiled at him. He smiled back, but he seemed nervous.
“Y-yeah, I'm fine. Sorry for troubling you.” He looked at one of the girls, especially at the one who said ‘hi’ to him previously. “H-hi, Heejin.”
Heejin waved at him again, grinning from ear to ear. He smiled politely to the girls and bowed before he settled at the table behind us.
He was cute.
Or so I thought.
[Author's Note] Another DMTN ff! Can't help it! y leader gives me too much feels! Gotta love thirty(+two) Nati!<3<3<3 On another note, Lecturer/teacher AU. First time (officially) tackling a first person writing style, but I might be throwing in third person pov on certain chapters as well, so the first person pov is exclusively reserved for Yoonyul, the main female character.
