The doorbell rang, and Jessica stopped her activity for a moment. She ignored and waited until it relented before grabbing her glass, then knocking it back after realizing it was already empty. She grabbed the bottle and cursed seeing it was empty, too. Getting up from the table, she swayed slightly and went to the kitchen sink, getting a glass from the cupboard and filling it from the tap.

The doorbell called again as Jessica drank quickly. Head slightly cleared, she walked to the front door, irately strutting over as she cussed whosoever it might be on the other side. On her way to the door, she shook her head, trying to clear the fog from her mind, then wiped the remaining streaks of tears in her face. A fist pounded on the door as she approached, and she could barely hear muffled shouting.

"O-One second," Jessica called, finally nearing the door. "I was in the kitchen," she said indistinctly to no one in particular, steadying her knees and flinging the door open.

Her bestfriend's annoyed features came into view but it immediately turned into a worried one upon seeing her glum expression.

"Jessi, I've been ringing you and you're not answering. What happened?" asked Tiffany as she pulled Jessica onto the couch.

Jessica shrugged her shoulders and turned to look at the wall clock. It shows half past four in the afternoon.

"Nothing happened, Tiff. Why are you here in this time?" she said, still not looking at the redhead. Tiffany didn't respond but just frowned at Jessica's odd behavior. She held the girl's shoulders and spun her to face her.

"You smell alcohol and I know you've been drinking prior to my coming here. But," Tiffany paused and scrutinized the blonde's face. "Have you been crying? What's the matter?"

Jessica just shook her head and made to stand up but Tiffany's not having any of it and pulled her back down.

"Jessi~"

"Tiff, nothing's wrong."

"Then why were you crying?"

"I was not."

"Bloodshot eyes say so," Tiffany argued insistently and Jessica finally let her masks down; but with another excuse in her mind.

"I just remember mom. Her death anniversary's next week, right? I missed her that's why I cried."

Knowing Jessica had always been emotional when it comes to her mom, Tiffany bought the excuse and didn't push any further on that subject. She patted her bestfriend's back and asked another question that may alter Jessica's mood, or so she thought.

"You have a date with YoonA, right?"

Tiffany was taken aback when Jessica shot her dagger-like glares instead, and for a moment, she was scared at the look her bestfriend was sporting. It was totally different from the looks Jessica usual had.

"D-Did I say something wrong?"

Jessica then seemed to be awakened from her angry stupor and gave Tiffany an apologetic look.

"Sorry, Tiff. I was in a daze right there. Uhm. T-The date.. it was cancelled," she deliberately lied then diverted her gaze to another direction when she felt like tearing up again.

She doesn't want to tell her bestfriend what happened just yet. Her heart aches so much that telling the reason behind it would be like adding salt into a fresh cut pitilessly.

"Cancelled? But I thought.." Tiffany stopped mid-sentence when she pondered that maybe YoonA purposely did the act. "Ah, so is that another reason why you're sulking here?" she asked instead and she could've sworn that she caught Jessica's body tensed momentarily. However, the girl faced her with a small half-smile.

"It's just a date, Tiff. Do people nowadays really think I'm that shallow to sulk over a petty matter?" Jessica asked in her usual tone but Tiffany sensed an implied sharpness in between the words. She decided to shrug it off for the meantime.

"Hey, I'm just kidding around. Hmm, I have a better idea," Tiffany said as she jumped to her feet and pulled Jessica off the couch. "Instead of sulking here, I'll just bring you someplace else. Is that okay?"

"Nah. I'm not in the mood, Tiff~" Jessica whined and she couldn't believe herself that she can still act like everything's alright when she's breaking inside.

"Jessi, be glad I'm doing this for you. It's either you come with all your heart or I force you. One way or another, you are getting your lazy out of here. I swear, you'll surely love where I'm planning to bring you to."

Tiffany grabbed the girl's hand again and dragged her forcefully to the bedroom. It took a bit more force than she had intended because Jessica kept digging in her heels.

"Go wash up and get changed. Make sure to wear nice clothes since you will experience the best time of your life in a few."

Tiffany closed the bedroom door and walked to the dining area to make a call. Jessica made her way to her closet as she brushed a lone tear that managed to escape her eye. Damn tears, they would fall whenever they want to.

'If you only knew how I hate this day, Tiff..'

***

YoonA was comfortably sitting on the front porch, clad in a loose fitting blue blouse and tight jeans, relaxing to the warm existent breeze as she hummed a lovely song to herself. She was having a nice time waiting but she felt as though some things just don't fall into places. The chirping of the crickets sounds dull and torpid though she had always loved listening to it whenever she's at the mansion.

It just felt so entirely different this time..

She braced herself and eyeballed the red box which sat on the table, a bouquet of roses lounging beside it. On that moment, however, she felt a sudden rush of both anxiety and nervousness course through her as she once again recited on her mind what she's planned to say.

She had planned everything to be in their simplest, nothing extravagant.

The words, the place, the ring.

The proposal itself...

Only her and Jessica.

And their future house.

Simple, but perfect. That's how YoonA wanted it to be..

...because she's just a simple girl who fell in love with a simple yet not-so-simple girl.

"Jung Sooyeon.." YoonA breathed in deeply and smiled, her eyes darting into the still clear skies as she mentally painted her girl's beautiful face on the firmament. Her heart is swelling with love and happiness as she takes another look on the box, then closed her eyes and imagined the girl's face once more like it was the only thing she's capable of doing.

"Jessica.."

It was just a name but she always felt whole every time she heard it, or whenever it'll pass through her own lips. The feeling is just so wonderful and special and even if it takes her forever, YoonA will always love saying that name over and over...

And the owner of that name.

The most important person in her life right now.

YoonA couldn't even think of life anymore without Jessica Jung in it.

'I would die if I'll lose you..'

She can still remember her words from before and when she said it, she knows it was one of the surest things in the world right now.

Because oh, how she needed Jessica. She needed her like her own breathing.

She needed her to be whole.

Because without Jessica, she's broken.

..she's nothing.

***

Tiffany was quietly driving while Jessica's eyes were fixated outside the open window of her convertible. The sun is about to set and the day's heat is breaking. They rode through the busy streets of Seoul, heading for the somewhat remote area of the city and Jessica wondered where her bestfriend was taking her since she hadn't been in the area before.

They drove past a green park and in the distance were fields for playing football and open spaces for kite flying. Beyond sight, Jessica sees a fountain sprays its water into the air and she shifted in her seat to take a better look.

The park is looped by a well-laid gray sidewalk along which women walk slowly, talking with their friends and young couples stroll with their children. Jessica smiled seeing their bright, happy faces and she momentarily forgot the pain she was feeling.

"That's a nice park, isn't it?" Tiffany spoke after a long while, showing her eye-smile to her bestfriend as her excitement built up. Jessica smiled back and answered a weak "yeah".

"It would be great to live around this area, you think?" the redhead asked once more as Jessica noticed that they already seemed to be in the

This story is one of my favorites. Honestly, I haven’t been as active in Girls generation as I used to be but I still love all the stories. I’m still a avid shipper of the couples. Especially yoonsic. :) and I’m happy to hear from you author because I know that this wonderful story won’t get taken down. I would love a pdf of this story and an epilogue. But nonressure author. Do what you want. Just don’t delete this story or deactivate your acct. I would miss you and your stories so much. No matter what happens, G fans will just have accept reality but that doesn’t mean fantasy and fictional works of our lovely girl group can’t exist. Hwaiting everyone! ?

Chapter 40: Thanks for this story. I loved how you used words not being too mushy or what. Its just perfectly fine. How i wished they are even real. Haha, clap clap. I had mixed emotions reading this story and it's seems real. Tbh, like rollercoaster fun, so daebakk on that and i couldn't comment more, wow. Can't believe that i finished it in less than 2 days, that was surely tiring on my part. But it's worth it after all, clap clap ^^

Chapter 37: Woooa, alright i told myself that i will comment once I'm done reading all the chapters. But, this one is an exemption. Both wanted to be with each other thinking that they both be healed at the same time they are hurting so much. They love each other much but there's this thing stopping them from being getting back, pride i think, or the damage it has cause. Surely, no matter how you love a person, accepting the fact that you might be th one to hurt them the most, is already inevitable. Time won't do a thinf if the heart is not ready to cooperate a, more importantly, ready to love again. A lot has happened bet this two, and the past can't be undone. It was a mistake for yoona to leave just like that. I can't a blame jessie. Now it has happened, actually, although this story already was completed. I still hoped of a nice and warm ending. (You made my heart flinched, haha)
