Jieun wasn't that type of girl that got scared when her mascara totally just leaked from water (which is why she doesn't wear any) or when someone insults her. She didn't like to give up, therefore she was very stubborn. She was a very special girl.   She didn't like when  people pitied her or when they thought when she depended on them.  She hated crying, especially when it was something  that was as stupid as a movie that got to her. She wasn't exactly quiet and she wasn't exactly loud either. Okay, never mind, she talked a lot!  Her friends have almost went to the point of throwing her into the pond at her own house.  Let's just say Jieun's life was, er, perfect...

"Jieun, we have a new student. He's come from New York, but he speaks Korean. You're a bright little birdy, now why don't you show him around!" the principal exclaimed. Jieun smiled automatically. Jieun was quite the bright birdy. 

"Hi! I'm Jieun, call me IU if you want. I really don't know where that came from, so please don't ask. I don't have the answer," she said. As she said that, she stuck her hand out for him to shake. He raised a brow. 

"Can't I introduce myself first?" Jieun's heart dropped into her stomach. Slowly, she looked up and met eyes with him. The boy. That boy. Him. Eric. Freaking. Nam. Her eyes turned into slits as she glared at him. 

"What did I miss out on while I was gone?"
