Foreword

“Youngjae-ah ! Youngjae-nim wake up! Don’t die!” I pleaded as his lifeless body sat limp on the cold cement ground. Blood trickled down his forehead, and gnarly ropes were tightly wrapped around his hands. The sound of his name rang in the air as I tiredly attempted to awaken him with my voice. Tears, mixing with the blood stained on my face began dripping down my cheeks as I desperately tried to untie myself and get to him. His whole body shuddered, and I could catch a glimpse of his eyes slowly opening half way. “Youngjae!” I cried out loud. His head turned to me and he gave a small smile. “Ah, Mi-Hyun, are you ok?” he asked wearily. I nodded frantically. “Younjae-nim, please stop talking. Please, you’re going to hurt yourself even more. Yongguk... Oppa, he’s going to get us okay?” I replied blinking back more tears. His smile vanished and he gave a half-hearted laugh. “Mi-Hyun, do you like Yongguk?” I shook my head not answering the question. “There’s no time to ask anything like that Youngjae-nim. Please stop talking, I’m scared blood will come from your mouth too! They beat you up really bad.” “Mi-Hyun.” “Youngjae-ah, please stop talking.” I pleaded. His lips began to move once again. “Yongguk and B.A.P aren’t good people Mi-Hyun-ah.” I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. “W-What are you talking about, you are best friends with them, why would you say--” The doors kicked wide open revealing the gang of guys who had kidnapped us. They walked briskly towards us and roughly held us up by the collar. I squirmed a little from discomfort, but the man holding me jabbed me in the rib causing me to bend over in pain and wince. Youngjae roared in anger and tried kicked the man that had hurt me. “Stop trying to play games you little ignorant s!” one hissed pushing us out the door. We were at an empty subway station that seemed to have been abandoned. I blink droopily at the image in front of me and saw five flawless men not so far from me. “Yongguk!” I said taking a deep breath from the pain in my rib. He flinched looking at me and Youngjae’s condition. He held onto a sleek black suitcase and held it out in front of him. “Here, all of it. All the money. Just take it and let them go.” he said calmly. As one of the guys walked forward to take the suitcase filled with money, my eyes widened, analyzing the situation. They were going to shoot Youngjae once they got a hold of the suitcase. I froze in complete fear, my mouth not functioning. I had always had this gift that allowed me to see a few seconds into the future of the possible outcomes that would happen. And I only could see one outcome to this. Youngjae getting shot square in the back. Yongguk would retaliate and shoot back. And more bullets, eventually leaving the scene a bloodbath of the two groups. But what happened next wasn’t what I had predicted. I was totally wrong. I was very wrong for the first time.
The man pushed Youngjae out as another retrieved the suitcase from Yongguk. Yongguk gave a warm hug to him, and another man untied me and pushed me towards Yongguk as well. Yongguk took the time to give me a big hug holding his hand behind my head and squeezing me tightly. “I’m really sorry.” and that was all he could say before a swarm of SWAT barged into the abandoned subway taking BAP away and the guys. I stood there dumbfounded, unaware of what just happened. Youngjae stood next to me, now smiling slyly and pulling out something shiny, a police badge. “I’ve been undercover quite a while now.” he simply said before everyone had attempted to lunge at him but failed. I looked at him with betrayed eyes. “I thought you were good. I started to trust. I STARTED TO TRUST YOU.” i began to scream. “Min-Hyun, you have nothing to do with their crimes. Just leave, they are bad people that have killed so many lives!” Youngjae shouted. “Min-Hyun... please. ” he softened taking a step towards me. I threw a punch at him now hoping blood would come out of his mouth. “You think you can fool me with your stupid pleads so I can just leave with you and leave the only people important in my life?! I’ll never forgive you!” I frowned as police officers pointed a gun at me after landing one on Youngjae’s face. “Dongsaeng.” Himchan’s soothing voice called out to me. “Do not worry, we will be okay. Leave.” I tried to protest, but Yongguk gave me a small look. “Listen to Himchan and leave. We will be fine.” he said in his deep voice. I nodded slowly and pushed passed the armored police officers and patrol. I could see Youngjae walking in the distance out of the subway station. The outcome was far worse than what I had predicted.
