Chapter 6: hello! im sorry i havent been commenting but i think i commented on one of your other fics (sanctuary) and rambled for a bit about this fic. this is absolutely one of my favourite fics ever i love it so much and i would wait years for another update tbh and not lose interest. the story is so beautifully heartbreaking and how donghae kind of likes hyukjae and its a bit tricky for them because of their situation and everything just makes it so realistic and relatable but at the same time it feels so isolated because of their location and everything?? like rather than being an actual fic with a specific end goal and whatnot, it feels more like we are just on a drive with donghae and hyukjae, immersed in their conversations. and i also really love how at the beginning of all (or most? i can't check now; i'm in the middle of a comment HAHA) chapters we get a little glimpse of donghae's life and we really begin to understand his character etc which heightens out relatability to his character as well as the heartbreak we feel as he (and we, through his eyes) learns more about hyukjae's story and how out of reach the man is ?? its just so melancholy n sad!! but at the same time we have hope that they will get together somehow and u elicit so much sympathy for donghae by having him stay with hyukjae and continue to try to be with him ??? idk whre im going w this comment but i felt u deserved a rly long comment bc ive been subscribed since chapter 2 and im basically in love with this fic and your writing and an update would be nice but i understand how it is if youre busy or stressed :-( i hope everything is better for you soon??? and hope youve been well since the last update! <3 good luck, and thanks again for writing such a beautiful fic xxx

i don't usually read fics that aren't completed because i'm extremely impatient but my friend haesthetics sent me a little bit of the last chapter and it just pulled me, something just really told me i need to read this and whatever it was it was right
something in this story just struck me, i can't really explain it but a little of the way in i just had to sit back and cry for a bit because there's something about this story that just really moves a part of my heart that not a lot of stories can
i have no idea what to say except wow
this is just beautiful, truly beautiful
