It has been five years since he saw him for the last time. Now she was there, standing and looking at him and his empty face… She could perfectly recall the last moment which completely changed her life.

 

5 years earlier…

„I dont want you to go out with him!“ she said.

„But why, mum? What’s the matter? I have done everything you wanted and… he is my boyfriend!“

„I dont agree with this, me in your age I didnt waste my time like you do now…“ It was a usual quarrel between her and her mother... 

„Mum…I’m already adult and I…. haven‘t come to ask you for permission, I have come to tell you bye and see you later…“ She looked at her with an angry face full of rage.

„I dont care about this at all, I have told you so many times I dont care… If you want me to keep you here and feed you even though you are already at the university and you don’t work, you will respect me and my orders! Or otherwise you can start looking for a place to stay.“ With eyes full of tears she looked at her with a sorrowful face and said „don’t worry, I already have…“ and she left the flat.

 

„I’m so sorry I’m late… it was my mum again.“ she told him and kissed him. He looked at her with his big dark eyes and said: „We’ve got just half an hour…“

„What? But you said we will be together whole day, you promised…“

„They have changed our programme and we are leaving in two hours.“ She looked at him desperately and wanted to say something when he started to speak.

„We could have spent an hour together if you didn’t come late…“

„What? But this is something else and I have told I’m sorry, you know that I have got problems with my mother…“

„You know,“ he continued and started looking to the ground „I was wondering…“

„About what?“ she asked,

„About us, I think…we shouldn’t continue in this anymore. You see, when was the last time we spent at least 2 hours together?…“

„You are saying it as it was just my fault… I know, i didn’t have that much time, but it’s going to get better, I’m looking for a new place!“

„I’m sorry… I should be going now,“ he said and turned around and left her there standing without any proper explenation, without any effort to save their relationship, without saying goodbye.

„Himchan?“ she whispered.

 

Her life changed. She was studying at a prestigious university a very pespective faculty. The doors to her career were open. What more could she possibly want, everybody around her thought. She spoke less and less, just studied. She was closed, sad, unhappy. She wasnt living anymore, just suffering.

 

5 years later

Five years passed and she finally graduated. Her friends persuaded her to go out with them and celebrate with them at least their graduatian. At first she resisted but eventually she agreed and went with them.

 

The music was loud, many people were dancing and moving their bodies in the rythm of the music. She felt quite inappropriately and lost. And then she saw him…

 

He was sitting there at a table surrounded by many people. Boys and girls were chatting, laughing loudly and enjoying their time. But he wasn’t. He was starring , looking at his glass with an empty face.

 

VERSION A

For a while she didn’t know what to do, whether to leave or keep watching him and maybe greet him. Well it was five years since they have last met. After a while their eyes met and they were looking at each other. She couldn’t move, it was really him, her Himchan with his big eyes…

„Has he recognised me or not?“ she thought. But then a girl sitting next to him started to touch his hair and play with them and started to kiss him. He was still looking at her with that strange pathetic face… She left the bar as fast as she could… There was no chance they could be together again. Many things have happend apparently, without any way to make them change. Even though they both were unhappy. Well, this was the life…

 

VERSION B

„Has he recognised me or not?“ she thought. At last she turned around and aimed to leave as fast as she could. As she got out somebody grabbed her hand and said: „Wait!...I ….what are you doing here… I need to talk to you…“ She turned around and looked at him, straightly to his eyes.

„I am so sorry for what happened between us. I know I have hurt and you don’t even know much I regret it and how much I regret every single minute being parted from you. I know I can’t ask you to forgive me… just please accept my apology…“

Without any hesitation she kissed him on his lips as a response. He gently put his hands around her waist.

„I missed you“ she said. „I love you…“ he replied….
