Shay Ryan (17)

New Yorker

A kind, caring, motherly teenager with a bubbly outgoing personality. She's the eldest of six children.

Shay lives in a rural, forested town outside of New York City called North Salem. She's the poor girl in a community of rich families, but the rest of the community treat her as one of their own none the less. 

She is rather intelligent and excels in languages, English and sciences. But don't ask her about Trig. Shay is also notably gifted in the fine arts. She writes great poetry, can has a a decent voice and can follow most dance moves. Unfortunately, she doesn't even realize her talents.

If you are ever in need of someone to talk to, someone to take care of you or a shoulder to cry on; she's the person you should go to. Shay's compassionate, patient, and very loving. Of course, there are plenty of times where she needs that same care and compassion (but has yet to have ever received any.)

Beneath all of her cheerfulness however, Shay has a dark memory that has haunted her since the eighth grade and a scar on her soul that won't heal. And she needs a hero to save her from that pain she keeps bottled up inside.

Tessa Mc'Nally (16)

Shay's younger Chinese cousin. Tessa was adopted by Shay's aunt Mary when she was a baby. Tessa is an outgoing (yet soft-spoken), sweet, quirky, and fun girl who loves animes, mangas, drawing, track, and field hockey.  She's creative and artistic, and often expresses her feelings through art.  She's amused by the simplest of things and enjoys making new friends.  She has the tendency to be a little clumsy and often trips over her own feet at the most inconvenient moments.

She's rather close with Shay and is considered one of her best friends. 

An EXOtic like her cousin, and a big fan of Chen.

EXO K

Suho

EXO's leader, Umma

He's kind, caring and very compassionate. The other members will often go to him if they ever have any problems. He's more like a mother to them than a leader at times.

Baekhyun

Main vocals, the over-protective-brother figure

Baekhyun is very outgoing and friendly, and loves to meet new people. He also has the energy of a cheerleader and will often cheer for the other members in games and sports. He takes upon himself the role as Shay and Tessa's self-proclaimed oppa. 

Chanyeol

Main Rapper, Happy Virus

Like his nickname suggests, Chanyeol is a contagious disease of happiness. On a normal day he's all smiles and gives off an aura of happiness that can induce occasional giggles and laughs. 

D.O.

Main vocal, "Squishy"

His caring and loving personality and beyond amazing cooking skills give him that motherly air, thus making him the Umma of EXO. But aside from being their mother, he's a good friend to and can be silly and casual. 

Kai

Main Dancer

This pretty face can be deceiving; as handsome and seductive as he is on stage, Kai is rather casual and sweet off stage. He can also be a bit bossy at times. 

Sehun

Maknae, The Face of EXO

This boy is probably the cutest little button you'll ever meet. Sehun is mischievous, playful and sweet. He's rather close to Luhan, and is practically like a brother to him. You'll never see a truer friendship than that of Sehun and Luhan. 

EXO M

Xiumin

Eldest, Dancer, Singer, Cutie (^^)

Don't let his young face fool you, he's actually the oldest member of EXO. Xiumin is a sweet, caring guy with a slight resemblance to a meat bun. He's also the strongest member of EXO, and has beaten every member at arm wrestling. 

Luhan

The Face of EXO, Singer, Dancer

Luhan is the second oldest in EXO. He's mature, thoughtful, and kind hearted (and a bit snarky at times). He has a sweet, china doll face but he's actually pretty manly... sometimes. Luhan is rather close with Sehun, and they're practically like brothers. You'll never see a truer friendship than that of Sehun and Luhan. 

Kris

Leader, Main Rapper

Kris is the leader of EXO M, and the third eldest member. He keeps a cool, charismatic demeanor on stage and in public, but away from the public eye, he's a sweet, sociable and lovable guy. He's easy to talk to and open up to. Ironically, no one really knows much about his family or his past. 

Lay

Main Dancer, the cuddle bunny

The playful, kind and mischevious dancer of EXO M. He's a bit forgetful and spaces out a lot, but he makes up for it with his multiple talents. On stage he's fierce and sharp, but blow on his neck and he turns into a wiggly pile of goo. He plays guitar, writes his own music and is a wiz in the kitchen. 

Chen

Main Vocals

Chen is EXO's Christina Aguilera, and has the most powerful voice in the entire group. He's snarky, sweet and playful, and is able to eat a ton of food and never gain any weight! Fans call him a troll, but he's actually really sweet when you get to know him. 

Tao

Maknae, Rapper

Tao might look scary, but he's about as terrifying as a baby penguin. He's a sweet, thoughtful, soft hearted, lovable guy who is easily frightened and loves his hyungs very much. As manly as his appearance may lead you to believe he is, he's actually rather childlike. But we love him for it! 

Author Note

Yeah, I'm writing another story, because this idea has been in the back of my head for weeks!! Yes, Shay Ryan (not my real name) is me. But this girl isn't exactly me (there are a few events that never actually have happened to me. But all the skills the OC has are my skills.) 

I'm not stating the EXO biases right away because I want to see if you guys can guess who she might end up with in the end based off of what information I've given you. 

I'll update the first chapter soon, so bear with me.
