Death of A Star
Description
Jang Dongwoo: bright, cheerful and almost abnormally optimistic. He is the heir to the kingdom of Laetitia where flowers grow without a reason, people smile just for the sake of it and where bees hover above flowers to pollinate them.
Jang Dongwoo: broken, upset and almost---but not quite---depressed. He is the once-upon-a-time-sunshine-king. Flowers do not grow even with a reason, people do not smile and bees are absolutely nowhere to be found.
He is a lost man, trying to pick up the leftover pieces, and as he does, he wonders how the death of stars came to be as easily as it has.

Prologue
His eyes roam around the land: dark and destroyed. His homeland. His beautiful homeland is in ruins. He touches the soil surrounding his body. Rough and sandy. It used to be his home. His sanctury where his mother gardened multiple colours of irises, where his father wrote on long scrolls to important officials, where his sisters incessantly about countless ladies. Most of all, where everything crumpled into pieces and shattered his soul.
He hears a mindless groan. He looks up to find a man with eyes full of void. He comes to a realization that everyone is now soulless. He does not understand how he is still in his senses, when everybody else is a large bundle of thoughtless mess. He flashbacks to the day he was born. To the time when his existance became clear; to the day he was named Jang Dongwoo.
A/N:
This is my entry for ErisChaotica's 1/3 Enchanted Writing Contest. It is an ineteresting and challenging contest, especially for writers who are generally unfamiliar to the fantasy genre. I am such author to be frank.
The word 'laetitia' defines joy and happiness in Latin.
