Description
"There's a thin line between chasing your dreams and being selfish. Have I just crossed the line?" Jae, a young Korean born to a musically inclined family, has been stifled by her parents' overbearing musical preferences, and finally decides to try her hand at breaking into the K-pop industry, only to be brutally rejected. Has she reached a dead end?
Hiro, an underworked actor struggles to find work where he can, and despite his optimistic outlook he can feel the beginnings of regret stirring in his heart. Will he turn his back on the career he once pursued with passion?
Azami, the veteran of the idol industry at the tender age of twelve, feels like the smile that's been plastered on her face day in and day out is wearing out. Is her mask about to crack?
Follow these three as their paths intertwine, pulled by the strings of fate.
Foreword
First of all, to all Younha and Aibon fans: you might recognize some elements of Younha and Aibon's personal histories in the backstories of Jae and Azami respectively. I based these two characters loosely off of these two celebrities, but the story is obviously largely fictional, and any details I added are my own. As for Hiro, I envisioned Miura Haruma as I was writing his character, but other than that, there's no connection to any "real life" events that happened to him. Also, each chapter of this story is written in a different perspective- in the first chapter the "I" is Jae, while in the second chapter, the "I" is Hiro. and in the third chapter the "I" is Azami. This cycle goes one as their their stories start out separately and eventually intertwine.
