It seemed pretty cliché – his love for her, her concern for him, and her indescribable feelings towards him.

Why?

Both women were popular students of the school, and he was nothing but a student who’d do nothing but study to be able to pass the entrance exam for college.

He was lacking – as some have said – and he stuttered a lot. He was always bullied by the others—always shoved on the side, smacked on his head, kicked on his guts, and other things that a person wouldn’t want to happen to them. He never dared to fight back. Without words, he accepted all the blows, all the insults, all the humiliations – everything that was given to him, be it positive or negative, he accepted it without words.

Not even a single woman would look his way. If they do, it would be a scrutinizing gaze.

Not even a single word was given to him. If there were, it would be hurtful comments.

If one was to be in his shoes, they’d rather leave the school and live a better life in another school.

But he didn’t, because he loved her. He wanted to show her that despite his appearance; that despite his character, he can be the man that she wanted to be with in her life. He endured two years of high school for her. He’s now on his final year—he couldn’t give up now. And this will be his last chance to prove himself to her.
