Yongguk found himself running and just running ‘till his breath could catch up on him no more. 

         It was as if the spaces between the thick washed out walls of the hospital corridor started to squeeze him in, trapping him in a narrow road called fear.

         It was either the lights were turning dim or Yongguk’s eyes started to blend into the darkness. His panting became louder and louder and even so as he saw Himchan pacing back and forth.  As soon as he noticed him, Himchan dragged himself towards him with a worried look Yongguk had been expecting but wished not to see.

         “Yongguk, I—”

         “Where is she?”

         Himchan took a paused and that pause was enough for Yongguk to know that she was, in his fear, gone. 

         And time could not turn back the seconds he missed.
