Foreword
A short melody played in the room, breaking the silence.
She recognized the sound. It was her ringtone. Leaning to her right, she grabbed her cell and brought it close to herself, knowing it was from him. She exhaled sharply before opening the text message.
"I'm outside your house now. I need to tell you...something."
She shut her eyes tight to stop her tears from cascading down.
She understood what he meant by 'something'. She knew him too well.
They were going to break up.
