"Key.." Jonghyun went to wrap his arm around the younger boy, but Key pushed his hand away. "What's wrong with you? Is something bothering you?"

Key held his hands and looked down at the floor, his eyes glued to the tiles.

"I don't think I can do this anymore," he admitted, a sad smile glossing over his lips. 

"What do you mean? I'm sure everything'll be fine in due time-"

"I'm thinking about quitting SHINee." He spoke, not letting the boy finish his sentence. "I mean, the fans want me out so.. why not just do them a favor and let SHINee reside as four instead of five?"

"No. It won't be the same if you leave SHINee. You are apart of SHINee no matter what. Fans will miss you and they'll be upset.." Jonghyun trailed off.

"Face it, Jongie." He frowned. "I was never apart of SHINee to begin with, so.. why bring shame to SM entertainment when I can just leave?"

"You're crazy!" Jonghyun said to him, taking his left hand in his and pressing it against his chest. "If you leave SHINee, I'll never talk to you again." 

Jonghyun hoped that what he said would change his mind, change him from leaving so suddenly. 

Change him from leaving him.

Key smiled and let his hand fall from Jonghyun's chest and shook his head, saying, "I'm glad you understand now. I'll come back for my stuff in the morning."

Key arose from his seat and turned his back on the idol, leaving unforgotten footsteps across the floor. Jonghyun jumped up from his seating position and words couldn't form from his mouth.

"Key! Don't you dare-" his right hand reached out to grab the boy, but he stopped in his tracks. 

"Bye.. Jonghyun." Key grinned and closed the door.

That door that  started it all, collecting excitement when the members knew they were going to be together since their debut, sadness when one of the members walked out and needed to cry, but now.. 

Leaving that door was friendship and a member.
