February Winter
Description
Part 1 of the Four Seasons; A Myungstal Tetralogy
Winter: First Season
"If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome." ~Anne Bradstreet
Soo Jung hates winter. The definition of winter to her: Heartbreak, and more heartbreak. She wants winter to be gone, wants winter to be over. However, when she somehow collides into a particular someone, she might just rethink exactly what winter means to her.
Winter to spring; spring to summer; summer to autumn; and autumn to winter. The cycle repeats itself, going on and on.
February 10th; Winter doesn't end that day, even if it's supposed to.
Foreword
"Let's stop this," She had mumbled with her head down.
"Don't you love me anymore?" He had asked, as if it was a simple question,
No, it was not simple, and would never be simple. She was biting her lip, hands balled into fists. Her shoulders shook silently as her lips trembled. She was trying not to cry. She loved him. That much she knew. She loved him till the point where it hurt. It hurt, loving him, because she didn't know if he felt the same. She couldn't pinpoint where they were. All she knew was that he was hurting her with every word, every action. She might not be able to take it anymore. Instead of saying 'yes, I still do', she opted for the simplest way to quit this relationship.
"I don't know, Myungsoo. I don't anymore,"
His shoulders slumped forward, immediately reducing his height. His eyebrows furrowed together, trying to stop those tears. He snapped his eyes shut.
