The air was filled with the loud screeches and bangs of fireworks and you stood quietly as you watched them.

It was New years eve and you had wanted you and your boyfriend Zelo to do something special for it, may be go to a restaurant or a party, but he had told you that he was away on tour, and that he wouldn't be able to see you. He had promised, however, that he would call you, and as it was getting closer and closer to midnight, you began to have doubts.

Other people in the park were walking round as couples, holding hands and kissing as they watched the firework display. Other's were older couples, little old people, who seemed to want to re-live their youth.

You stood by yourself.

Zelo had told you that he was sorry that he couldn't make it, and to have a nice time at the park without him, but how could you when you were watching all these cute couples being... cute together. You wanted your cute zelo!

Soon the countdown began and  the crowd began to count their way down in the remaining few seconds of the year.

Nothing could have prepared you for what happened next.

You had expected everyone to shout happy new year. All at once. Which of course they did, but as soon as the countdown ended, you felt lips crash down against yours. Kissing you softly and deeply.

Pulling away slightly shocked, you gasped as you looked up into Zelo's deep brown eyes.

"Happy new year." He smiled, brushing a strand of hair out of your face and wrapping his arms around you. You put your arms around him and rested your head against his shoulder.

"I didn't think you were coming." You smiled, as you snuggled into his neck. Zelo chuckled.

"My new years resolution is to stop disappointing my jagiya. I'm always away on tour, and it upsets her when I can't be with her." He whispered in your ear, "I thought it would be best to start right from the beginning of the year." He smiled, leaning down and planting another kiss on your cheek.

You smiled and looked up at him "And mine is to spend more time with my Oppa." You grinned, kissing him lightly on the lips. "Happy new year!"
