Got your title done already? That’s great to hear, we now have another challenge. The description, oh ! It’s not hard as it seems, just continue reading.

What is a ‘description’? A description is to describe something, and in this case, the story. You write the plot only, but not everything! Make the description a few sentences and you’re practically done with everything.

Character Profiles. Don’t you dare have character profiles/traits in your description, am I clear? It’s a waste and it’s not necessary. If you just want to for any reason, do that in your forewords.  Need an example of a character trait?

Do Kyungsoo – So down to earth and knows how to cook. The best person to be in this world!!!11

Kim Jongin – He’s such a player and so cocky. Likes to mess with people’s hearts and doesn’t deserve baby Kyungsoo.

Personal Messages. Author notes are not in the description, please. People like to write, "I'm back with a new fan fic", and it makes you look childish.  Leave that in the foreword or just don't do it all. Also writing, “This is my first fan fic so please be nice", is also a no. Whether or not it's your first or second time writing a fan fic your writing isn't so great and someone will criticize you. Take that criticism as advice.

Advertisements. What do I mean by this? I mean don’t advertise your fan fic in your description, do that in the forewords or don’t do it at all.

 Previews. That can go somewhere else.

Plot Spoilers. Writing your description is a challenge. Make sure not to spoil the entire plot. Give out little details in the description while you’re writing. Give a glimpse on what the fan fic is about. Example:

Kim Jongin had gone back to his hometown after leaving for about 5 years. After entering a book store, he meets a worker named Do Kyungsoo…

Did I say anything about them being together? No, I didn’t. Where was his hometown and why did he leave and comeback? Why did he go into the book store? What’s going to happen next? Are they going out with each other in the end and both are happily together? A question needs answers, and by that people will want to read your story.

I hope you guys understand what I’m trying to say, no character trails, personal messages, previews, messages, and spoilers.
