Winner Stands Upright
Description
Kris was a captain from a basketball team of his university. He played good, and managed everything beyondly good. He never lost in any of basketball competitions.
But, there was this one time, when someone had to sincerely accept the fair-play of life. Kris lost in a basketball competition for the very first time, and he really felt depressed about that.
Fortunately, Chanyeol was there to do anything to comfort him. He was a psychologist after all.
Foreword
"You know, hyung, being a winner doesn't mean that he always has to win over something. Someone could be told as a winner when they lose, and you know because of what?"
Kris didn't answer.
"Because they have a soul, hyung," Chanyeol patted his own chest. "They have a soul of winner–someone who never hesitated to respect the other than themselves, someone who never scared to admit that they weren't perfect, someone who never struggled so hard to fight the truth. They win over their black heart who keep whispering to follow the sorrow of their failure. They stand still."
Kris' heart swelled. Never in history of his life he wanted to cry and will himself reveal the truth–that he was a human too, and he had a weak side.
Chanyeol smiled as he looked up at Kris. "When you fall down, there's only one thing you need to do hyung; stand up."
