The Devil's Duo (Teaser 1)
:|: Living in the Fast Lane :|:"Is it still me that makes you sweat?"
Hips swung in time to the heavy bass as the owner bent over to peer under the hood. Her amethyst colored eyes scanned over the engine, the belt, the radiator, before her a long sigh escaped her lips. The brunette ran a hand through her short hair and brushed her bangs out from her eyes as she continued to look around for the problem. Her car had been acting up, it would hesitate when she shifted into lower gears, so she was checking the main culprits first. She had an idea of what was giving her problems, but normally she wouldn't be able to tell with out a diagnostic. The diagnostic was simple enough - she simply needed to hook it up to her car's mainframe. But, before she would do that, she wanted to make sure nothing else was wrong. So, she let her eyes rake over the parts under the hood of her '65 Shelby Mustang GT350 once more. She also continued to dance slightly to Panic! At the Disco's song that was blasting from the radio on top of the tool cart next to the car.
"Then any boy you ever meet, sweetie you had me," a voice ghosted against the shell of her ear as two arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her out from under the hood of her car and against a warm body.
The woman laughed before smacking away the arms from around her waist. She turned around and was met with a very familiar face with a similar brown fringe that swung over his right eye. Those striking blue eyes held a mysterious glint in them, just like always. He smirked at her before he engulfed her in a practically bone-crushing hug.
"Bekah, it's good to see you again," he stated simply as he lifted the girl off the ground and practically spun her in a circle.
"TaeHyun, put me down!" she managed through her laughter.
After a few more seconds her twin finally complied and let the woman touch the ground again. As soon as she was back on solid ground, Bekah punched her brother's shoulder. The boy grabbed his now injured shoulder, with a look that clearly asked what-the-hell-was-that-for.
"Oh don't give me that look, you know I hate when you do that," Bekah muttered as she turned back around and went to retrieve the diagnostic computer from its place in the garage.
TaeHyun sighed heavily, as he leaned against Eleanor - the name Bekah had given her Mustang - and crossed his arms over his chest, "Geez, stop being such a baby, Mi Mi."
The woman being addressed made her way back over towards her car with the necessary computer, "Oh shut up. And get off Eleanor!"
The olive-skinned woman shoved her brother away from her baby as she hooked up the computer to her car's inboard computer. Bekah went to the driver's side and leaned into the window and turned her keys in the ignition. Her baby came to life and she leaned away from the wheel. She the computer and let it run its diagnostics, praying she was wrong about why her car had been acting up. TaeHyun came up behind her and watched as the system ran its program.
"You know, she's not a real Eleanor, so why do you call her that?" he asked as he glanced over at the blue with white racing strips car in question.
Bekah was barely paying attention to her brother - which could prove to be a big mistake at any other point in time - as her amethyst eyes remained on the screen, "Because she's close enough and I want to. Is there a problem with that?"
The blue eyed boy didn't answer and simply walked around the garage, looking at all the other cars that were about. He noted there was a Challenger, Plymouth Fury, a Thunder bird, and a Camero. TaeHyun noticed there were a lot of open spots though, so he figured a lot of the Crew were out and about, probably getting ready for the next race that was set up in two day's time. It was going to be a pretty big race since all of the gangs were planning to be there. Normally, only two, maybe three, of the gangs would ever be invited to any given race. But, every now and then, there would be a big race that calls upon every able body. These were always the best races. They lasted the longest and they were the most interesting. Junsu had told him in advance that he was planning to make this a huge event that everyone would remember. But, the race master wouldn't spill the details on where he planned to have the event. No one knows in advance - except for the race masters of course. All the racers would get a text about an hour or two in advance with the details and that would be it. They did this so they had a better chance of keeping the police out of their plans, because street racing is pretty illegal.
"Damnit," Bekah hissed loudly, pulling her brother out of his thoughts.
"What's wrong?" TaeHyun asked as he walked over the woman and looked over the girl's shoulder to peer down at the diagnostics.
She place the computer down next to radio on the tool cart and disconnected it from the car, "The second and fifth cylinder keep misfiring. The spark plugs have gone bad."
TaeHyun grimaced at the information as his sister unhooked the hood support rod and closed her up, "Ouch, that ."
Normally, the spark plugs of a car aren't too bad to replace. But, with older cars its always a bit tricky to track down spark plugs for them. And since Bekah's car was over forty years old, she was going to have a hell of a time... Well, if she wasn't apart of the Crew. The Crew could get their hands on just about anything.
"Will you be able to replace them in time for the race?" he asked as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and led her towards the exit and towards his '68 Shelby Mustang GT500 KR.
Sighing, she reached back to turn off the radio, before she walked outside and locked up the garage, "God, I hope so. Hey, can you give me a lift back? I don't want to her up anymore than she already is."
"I figured as much," TaeHyun stated with a small smile, as he slid into the driver's seat and started up his car.
The first thing he did was roll down the window, allowing Bekah to grip the top of the car and jump into his mustang. TaeHyun merely shook his head at her habit of jumping into cars, before he peeled out of the parkinglot in front of Jung's Garage and Auto Part's.

Alright, well here's a little teaser on the twins. I hope you like them ^.^ Also, the song that was playing was Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off by Panic! At the Disco (god that's a mouthful). Sorry about the car lingo. I am NO expert on cars, so there is a good chance I might have messed something up, so sorry. Oh, and the Eleanor thing is a reference to the movie Gone in Sixty Seconds - the car they used was a one-of-a-kind '67 Shelby Mustang Fastback. If you guys haven't seen the movie, you definitely should. Oh! But don't worry. In the movie it looks like they totalled the car, but that was just a replica - they would never harm such a beautiful car. And, lastly, the next chapter will be a teaser for Aurora_Borealis' character! YAY!
