Thank You
All a LieShe was about to leave the building for the day when the receptionist caught up to her. “Someone wanted me to give this message to you,” she said handing her a little sticky note. She looked at the message, telling her to meet this person at the café just at the corner of her building. She flipped it to the back, but saw no writing.
“Who is this from?” she asked, but the receptionist just shrugged.
“She just told me to give this note to you,” she said before going back to her desk.
Her brows furrowed and her curiosity got the better of her. She decided to go down to the café, to see who this woman would be. The bell rang above her as she entered the café. She looked around, to see if she would see anybody familiar. Her eyes then landed on a girl a table away from her. The last time she saw the girl was when her lips were locked on Seungri’s.
She slowly walked towards her and the girl stood up bowing. Being the polite person she was, she bowed back. “I’m guessing this is you?” she held up the note stuck on her finger.
“Yeah,” the girl smiled and she couldn’t help but find it charming. “I was afraid you wouldn’t come meet me if you knew who I was,” she said. She then gestured for her to sit down and she pulled the seat across from her.
“My name is Mina,” she introduced herself.
She just sat there, not wanting to introduce herself.
Mina let out a nervous laugh and looked at her. “I just wanted to apologize. About what happened,” she said.
“If that’s all, I’d like to leave,” she said, pushing the chair back, getting ready to leave.
Mina called out her name, “Wait. If it’s not too much to ask, I’d like to explain.”
She looked back and debated on whether or not she had time for this girl’s words. “Please,” Mina begged. She sighed and sat back down.
“I’m really sorry, for what happened. I didn’t plan – I didn’t mean to –“ Mina sighed.
She could see how much trouble Mina was having explaining herself. She then decided that maybe this apology was sincere, she did take the courage to meet with her.
“Did you know?” she asked.
Mina looked up at her, confused. “Know?” she asked, not sure what she was talking about.
“Did you know that Seungri had a girlfriend at the time you guys hooked up?” she asked.
She shook her head and looked down at her fingers, which were on the table, fiddling. “Seungri, he—“ she paused. “I was the last serious girlfriend that Seungri was with. Before you,” she slightly looked up. “I guess you can say that I turned him into the kind of guy he is. A cheater,” Mina said.
She continued to listen to Mina, not wanting to interrupt, mainly because she didn’t have anything to say.
“I was with Seungri for the last two years of high school. We fell in love quickly. While he stayed in love with me, I fell out as quickly as I fell in. Half the time of our relationship, I was cheating on him with someone else. He found out. The weird thing is,” she smiled, with a distant look in her eyes. “He still wanted to stay with me; even after I cheated on him; even after I said I wanted to break up. He was persistent and clingy. I told him that I couldn’t be with someone like him.”
“Like what?” she couldn’t help but ask.
Mina shrugged and laughed. “I don’t know. Nice? Caring? Loving?” she looked back at her, who had a questionable look on her face. “I guess you could say that I was into the bad boys,” Mina shook her head, looking down at the table again. “Anyways, after graduation, we all went our different paths. Just a couple months ago, I saw Seungri again and found something different about him; something that I was more attracted to.”
“We hung out a couple times. I guess I should’ve known that he was with someone else those first couple hang outs because he would always look at his phone or texting someone. But I missed him. Or, the new him I guess. He turned into someone that was more style. He turned into a suave, confident guy.”
“I didn’t want a relationship, I just missed being in one. So Seungri agreed to just fool around. One night, after we –“ Mina paused and looked up at her, not sure if she should continue.
“It’s fine,” she said, wanting Mina to go on.
She cleared and sat up straight. “After we did…it,” she could tell that Mina was uncomfortable telling her about their secret tryst. “While he went to the bathroom, his phone rang. I looked at it and it said, ‘My angel.’”
She could tell that it was hard for Mina to be telling this to her. She figured that she also had feelings for Seungri during their time together, seeing the expression on her face.
“I confronted him about it and he straight up told me that he had a girlfriend. He even said that he regretted hanging out with me. All those times we would hook up as well. He told me that they were the mistakes that he wished he could have taken back. It was that time when I found out that this guy was actually really in love. Even the time we were together, he was never like that with me,” she looked down and sighed. “That was the last night we did it…”
“Jiyong saw me the next morning and threw me out,” she laughed, remembering. Mina then looked at her, “I don’t know if I’m supposed to tell you this, but the next time I saw Seungri, he asked me for a favour…” she looked down again and sighed. “He wanted me to – “ she couldn’t help but chuckle. “He wanted me to help him find a ring,” she said, shocking her. “I thought it was a promise ring he wanted, but nope, when we got there, he was looking at engagement rings,” she continued to giggle.
“It was then that I realized that Seungri was serious about you,” she said. “After we picked out the ring, I told him that I couldn’t see him again. I asked him for that one last kiss. That kiss you saw,” she said. “I just wanted to clear everything out. I didn’t mean to destroy whatever you guys had. I let my feelings take control whenever I was with him. If I could take everything back, I would. But I can’t. All I can do is apologize for what I did. I’m really sorry,” Mina said before standing up.
She just sat there with a shocked expression. Mina headed towards the door of the café, leaving her to absorb everything she had told her.
“He wanted me to help him find a ring for you,” Mina’s voice echoed in her head.
She then stood up and walked out of the café, looking for Mina. It was lightly raining and saw that Mina just opened an umbrella.
“Mina!” she called out to her. Mina turned around and put up the umbrella, shielding her from the rain. “Thank you.”
Mina smiled lightly and nodded her head before walking away.

A/N: Short chapter~ this story is almost finished and I came up with 2 alternate endings. Hopefully this gives you guys an insight of the reason of Seungri's jerk-face attitude. Haha. Thinking of a plot for another story, but I'm not sure who to use. I'm torn between Jiyong and Hoya of Infinite. So, Idk~ haha
