Foreword

The smell of blood was strong and fresh, dripping off of newly dead bodies into the red pools of blood with a steady sound. Drip. Drip. Drip. The noise echoed through the high ceilinged room.

From above, a figure began to descend, his white clothes edged with white glaring in the overhead sunlight.

The boy stood, heavily breathing, sweat dripping down his neck. His eyes and sword followed the floating figure, the swords tilting to the side lightly.

“Of all 108 Stars of Destiny, only you remain standing.” The figure said, reaching the ground. His smile was seen from under the hood. “No matter. The future has already been determined. You know that future fighting is meaningless, yet you risk yourselves.”

“…Meaningless?” a girl behind the boy repeated, glaring at the figure.

“Don’t make me laugh!” another boy said, drawing his bow, but keeping it pointed at the ground. “You don’t get to decide the future before it happens!”

          The figure leaned forward, trembling.

“Hmmmmm….Heh, heh, heh….” He chuckled. The boy leaned forward, enraged.

“You don’t get to decide the future! Meaningless or not, we wont know until we try, and that’s reason enough to fight and win!” he yelled.”C’mon, guys! Let’s do this!”

The boy and the group behind him rushed forward with a bellowing cry that echoed through the room.
