Spending my date time on winter season (yoonwon)   The music was getting even louder. The stereo was on its maximum volume, but the woman didn’t turn it down. Instead, she was moving her body into the music—breaking, popping, all kinds of dancing. Im Yoona continued dancing in the big practice room, which was empty. She started doing the new moves she had thought about last night. As a dancer, Yoona  practiced a lot. She’s a dance instructor in a prestigious school in the center of Seoul. She didn’t stop moving her body, until the music stopped. Yoona stopped as well. She turned around, facing white walls and a brown door. The windowpanes on her right was covered with snow. In this cold winter, yoona prefered dancing to make her body’s temperature up, than sitting in front of the heater in her apartment with nothing else to do. No one was there but her. Yuri approached the black stereo on top of the table. Maybe it’s broken? But how? It worked just fine. Yuri didn’t know anything about electronic equipments and stuff involving cables and batteries. Her brother Donghae was the one who knows, being a boy. Yoona took out the CD and examined it. It was good as new. So? “I thought you would find me.” Yoona looked up. She felt her heart stopped beating for a second, before she could feel it in her chest again. Then her lips curled into a smile. She was surprised to see him here—not to mention that he drove all the way here, through the snow, just to see her. “Why are you here?” yoona asked. “And did you turned the stereo off?” Choi Siwon chuckled. “Because I want to see you.” He walked forward, towards his girlfriend, and gave Yoona a cold embrace, because of the snow covering his jacket. Yoona instantly withdrew. “I’m hot. You’re cold,” Yoona said. “Oh, you’re hot, all right,” Siwon said seductively while eyeing Yoona’s body. “Yah! ert!” Yoona started to hit Siwon’s arm. Siwon moaned in pain, but yoona  didn’t stop hitting her boyfriend. “I didn’t mean hot in that way! I mean my temperature’s hot because I just danced! And you’re cold because you ran through the snow!” Siwon laughed. Yoona stopped hitting him, instead put her hands on her hips and pouted. Siwon smiled. Her girlfriend was truly the cutest one on earth. “Aigoo, stop your aegyo. It’s too powerful.” Yoona scoffed and approached the stereo again. She put the CD back into the stereo and turned it on. The music begun to be heard, but siwon pressed the pause button again. Yuri looked back, her eyes on him. “Stop it. I’m going to dance.” “No. You’re going on a date with me.” siwon gave yoona his heartwarming smile. Yoona felt like she couldn’t breathe. How could a man had a smile this charming? Yoona stopped herself from getting too mesmerized about her man, her siwon. She needs to focus everytime she’s with him. But for yoona, everytime they were together, time just stopped and it was only siwon there to be mesmerized about. “Date? Where?” yoona asked, snapping out of her daydream. “You’ll find out,” siwon said secretivedly. “Change your clothes first—or maybe you don’t need to change?” He eyed yoona’s clothes—which was a white bra top with red baggy pants. Siwon had to stop himself imagining forbidden things about his girlfriend. But how could he? Yoona was just too beautiful in every way. Yoona scoffed again. She took her purple bag and went inside another room in the building. Siwon waited, observing the practice room with no interest at all. Siwon was a painter, and seeing the empty, white walls in front of him made him want to hang his paintings that were stuffing his apartment. A sound of a door opened came to siwon’s ears. He turned around and saw yoona walking towards him, wearing a T-shirt, jeans, Lacoste sneakers, and a white jacket. Yoona had her bag with her, and she looked to siwon’s face, smiling. “I’m all set. You’re going to buy me food, right, oppa?” Siwon smiled and nodded. He encircled yoona’s thin waist with his right arm, and they started walking towards the exit door. “Yeah. What do you want for lunch?” Yoona thought about for a moment. She had her “thinking face” on, that siwon loved the most. Her lips created a cute pout, showing her aegyo skills; her eyes were showing a beam of curiousness. It was hard for siwon to believe that Yoona can be y and cute at the same time. “I think I’ll have something warm and creamy,” Yoona spoke what was on her head. “French, maybe?” Siwon  nodded his head while smiling. “Anything for my princess.” Yoona giggled, and they were standing beside siwon’s Audi. Siwon opened the door for her, and Yoona sat on the passenger seat, while siwon sat on the driver’s seat. The engine went on, and siwon started driving. They reached a famous French restaurant. Once again, Kyuhyun went down the car and opened the siwon for Yoona, being a gentleman. Siwon could see that there was a slight of pink-colored blush on Yoona’s cheeks. Siwon held back his laugh and intertwined his fingers with Yoona’s. Yoona squeezed their hands and pushed the restaurant’s glass door. The restaurant was filled with people eating and talking at the same time. After talking to one of the waitresses, they got a table near the window. Yoona looked at the view, a snowy view of Seoul. Then she realized that there were snowman-shaped papers hanging above them. There was also a big Christmas tree in the corner, where kids admired its decoration. Yoona remembered that today was Christmas. Usually she spent Christmas alone, since all of her family were not in Seoul. But since she had a relationship with Siwon, they’ve had always spent Christmas together. “They have a lot for Christmas specials,” Siwon muttered while reading the menu. Yoona read her menu as well. After ordering, Siwon looked at her right in the eyes. “Do you love me?” Yoona raised an eyebrow. Why would he ask a clear question? “Yes. Why do you ask?” Siwon gave her his evil smirk. “Just wondering.” Yoona shrugged and continued to observe the packed restaurant. After eating— Yoona ordered two bowls of soup as an extra for her on-tray—the couple continued holding hands, but this time Siwon walked along the sidewalk, not approaching his Audi Q7. Yoona looked at him. He must’ve got something planned. “What are you doing? Where are we going?” “Don’t you know that I’m a good boyfriend and have something planned for my girl?” Siwon answered calmly. Yoona poked his arm. “I’m serious. Where are we going?” Siwon stopped walking. “We’re already here.” Yoona looked to her front. The city park. It was the biggest park in Seoul and was covered with snow. Even the benches and the street lights. Siwon grabbed Yoona’s hand and pulled her into the park. Yoona had to be careful when her feet touches the slippery ground, while Siwon was pulling her into a big, snowy field in the center of the park. People were playing there—some ice-skated, some made snowmans, and some had a snow fight. Yoona looked around. Seoul in winter was really beautiful. She usually spent Christmas alone in her apartment. Yoona never thought that she had to miss this on Christmas. She was still looking around in amazement when she felt something cold on her collar, some touching her neck. She looked down, and it was snow. A lump of snow, shaped into a ball. Yoona looked up and saw Siwon had a snowball in his hands. Just in seconds, Yoona figured out what Siwon was doing and ran for protection to a big tree. “I’m gonna get you!” Siwon shouted, chasing her while throwing snow. Yoona screamed and laughed, and she took a lump of snow from the ground and patted it with her palms. She ran out from her “hiding spot” and throwed Siwon the snow. Siwon got it all over his coat, and Yoona laughed like a crazy person. “Yah!” Siwon pointed at her, but Yoona just throwed him more snow. Siwon was too surprised by the sudden attack. Yoona couldn’t hold back her laugh and bended down to get more snow. But when her body was straight up again, siwon was no longer in her vision. Yoona stepped forward, turning left and right. “Oppa? Siwon oppa?” Out of nowhere, Siwon hugged her from behind. Yoona pretended to scream, and then she laughed. Siwon also laughed and hugged her even tighter. But Yoona couldn’t maintain her balance and fell to the snow, with Siwon on her back. They were both still laughing, hugging in the snow. “Oppa, stop it. It’s embarassing.” Yoona wanted to stand up, but Siwon held her arm. “No. Let’s just be kids for a day.” “But we’re not.” “Then pretend.” Siwon hugged Yoona even tighter. Yoona giggled. She turned around, so now she was facing Siwon. His face was even whiter because of the snow. She held out her hands and cupped Siwon’s face in them. Cold. “We should stand up,” she said. “It’s not good to lay in the snow for a long time.” “I know,” Siwon replied with a smile. He stood up and pulled Yoona. After Yoona stood up straight, the snow started to fall down from the sky. Everybody were gasping of amazement, even Yoona. She reached out her hand for a snowflake, before it melted in the palm of her hand. Siwon hugged her tighter. “The snow is beautiful, just like you.” Yoona put down her hand and encircled Siwon’s neck with her arms. “Really? I thought it was beautiful just like you.” “How can I be beautiful? I’m a guy.” Siwon rolled his eyeballs, while Yoona laughed. She tiptoed and gave him a quick peck on the lips. Siwon smiled, and he knew that they didn’t need words to describe how madly in love they are with each other. Simple actions were just enough.
