A magical yet sugary story which will for sure give you a sweet tooth. "Affections Across Time" is a tale about two men who are deeply in love, but never actually got to meet each other. Fifth teen year old Byun Baek Hyun lived with his grandfather at the old castle tower at the farther edge of Seoul. His gran father was an inventor and made many creations such as time machines. They've lived together for quite a while after the boy's parents died in a train accented in the year 2002. Ever since then the teenager have grown an interest, he'd dreamed riding on one someday; but for now he just modeled them as a collector. As days, months and years past his grandfather noticed that the boy was sad and lonely thus he made a male 5 years older than him naming him after his the name he'd wish Baek hyun would have which is Chan Yeol. In the further he assured that the two would fall deeply in love, but unfortunately he would only awaken after 100 years in which Baek Hyun would be gone. One day the boy was doing his daily "watching Chan yeol" duddy as a question occurred in his mischief mind.

“Grandpa! When will this man wake up?” Wondered the fifteen year old Korean boy, not taking his eyes off the sleeping male. “Well Baek Hyun” He said in that witty old voice of his as he whipped the dust from his golden glasses. “Time has stopped for him; he could be sleeping for years and will never wake up!” He finished cleaning and placed them back on his face, laying the piece of cloth back on the wooden old table. Baek Hyun turned around, his face full of confusion and concern.

“What!? Never? How is he going to eat or drink?”

“Oh, he wouldn’t be doing any of that, when he wakes up he’ll look like a stick!” Chuckled the old man and began wrapping his jacket around him.

The young boy turned back around and pouted, he lied his chin on the edge of the bed and sighs as he began playing with his curly caramel locks. “Then tell me this.” He said not bothering to turn to face the other, “is there a way to speeden things up?” The old man zipped up his jacket and slipped his boots on both feet.

 “The only way to wake him up, is to speed time yourself.”

“Speed time?” He asked turning his full attention back toward his grandfather; he simply nodded before grabbing the keys on the table and turning to look at his grandson one last time.

 “If you want him to wake up, the best way is to make a time machine.”

“T-Time machine?”

 “Yes! But It seems that the machine I’ve made isn’t quite working at the moment.” Said the sixty year old male stepped out into the dark and placed the key into the lock. “I wouldn’t be long, wait here till I get back.” And with that the old witty man was out the door leaving the two behind, Baek Hyun stared at the old wooden door and back at the sleeping prince.

He sighs and lied his head on the male’s shoulder “but I want him to wake up now!” He pouted and pinched the twenty year old nose then smiled.

“I want to meet him; I want to know what type of person he is. Is he funny or not? He is kind, caring and lovable? Does he like games? Ugh so many questions un-answered!” He cried roughly playing with his own hair then stood up from his chair, Baek Hyun knew he was way too young for him but for some reason he fell in love with him. They haven’t even met yet and the boy already has a crush on him, he knew he was too young but he never cared about age.

The young boy was wearing a small black bow tie, with a white caller shirt and black middle cut pants. Both him and his grandfather have been living in this same old clock tower for years, not that he doesn’t like it it’s just that he wanted to get out a bit. For a living Baek Hyun’s grandfather would bring back model trains for him to build and design. He made many, even a whole train set that actually works; but it just wasn’t enough for him, he wanted more, he wanted… Chan Yeol. He boy turned around and stared at the sleeping male lying on the white bed, his eyes shut and his head titling to the left (which is where usually Bark Hyun would be staring at). He sighs and turns his head down where his train’s set were and bend down to watch it runs around in circles. He’d imagine him and Chan Yeol in the future when he’s older, on the train while the weather outside was freezing cold. He laid his head on his shoulder while the older male would simply smile and held onto his hand while he slept.

“That’s it!” He yelled slamming his two hands on the wooden table.

“I can’t wait; I need to speed up time myself!”
