I sat on the floor and cried into my own lap.

“Nothing…” I choked out as I went through a fit of sobs.
I let my tears flow out, not holding back anything. With what seemed like five minutes later, I finally calmed enough to reminisce in the memories.
I took out my left hand that was tucked underneath the right, still shaking. I smiled through my clouded eyes as I remembered the memories that came along with that ring.
I really didn’t care what the hell the ring was made out of. Paper or plastic, the promise was the only thing that mattered to me. The promise we had made on that beautiful summer day in Korea…
