this was intended as an entry for serenade, a oneshot writing challenge. i missed the deadline -- life hasn't been very good to me over the past few months, so this definitely took a backseat. don't worry, although on a backburner, this is still being worked on and will still be posted! rest assured the reason i'm taking quite a while to finish is not only because i haven't had much time lately, but also because i truly want to craft something i will be proud of. to be a yoite x miharu story, if plans follow through. the two are from a manga (and later an anime) called Nabari No Ou, and throughout their trials, developed a relationship of precious codependency that i would like to share through this story. do anticipate. this one-shot is set in the last chapter of Nabari No Ou (with an ending that is mine), followed by the continuation of that. i don't believe spoiler declarations are necessary because Nabari No Ou's ending is vastly up to interpretation -- however, to be safe -- if you've started on the series, please finish it before reading this fanfiction!

i think this is challenging, writing fiction for an already fictitious set-up and cast of characters... nonetheless, i hope to showcase Yoite and Miharu in a fuller setting more focused on them.

(without question, i recommend the anime and manga, though they diverge in terms of plot. manga had better plot, anime had better delivery. either way, i cried about four rivers already.)
