Tao had been waiting for Kris outside their dorm, after Kris said he had to buy something from the grocery store.
It was Tao's birthday the next day, and he really wanted to stay up with Kris, not that Kris knew of Tao's thoughts.
Foreword
"Where... did you go, Kris? Come back.." Tao whispered, as he felt his body freezing up, checking that the time then, was already 11:59.
"TAO! Tao..." Kris cried and mentally slapped himself for not telling Tao to stay home, it was -15 degrees that day.. and Tao had been outside waiting for Kris for a good 2 hours.
